BATES AIO painting for MAD vs. CANCER fundraiser
Custom canvas by BATES AIO, Copenhagen’s own, Bates reached out without hesitation and
donated both stickers (all sold out already) and this canvas to help. The freshness of this should
speak for itself if you know the man’s work.

The Story Behind The Auctions:
This auction represents an effort by the friends and family of MAD (ESC KD WH NSF crews;
co-founder of the INFAMOUS MAG; respected Philadelphia artist; and all-around good dude)
to raise funds to help him support himself and his family during his battle with CANCER.
MAD was rushed to the hospital just after the 2012 new year with severe pain and discovered
his spleen had ruptured. During the operation to remove his spleen, Stage 4 cancer was found
in a few locations in his body.
MAD had no insurance nor workman’s compensation, and, accordingly, he is in major financial
distress. While his medical bills are astronomical, the immediate need is for financial support
for his basic costs of living. MAD has two beautiful children to support, his home and family
to care for, and with week-to-week inpatient Chemotherapy, can not work a normal job, even
IF his weakness and nausea weren’t a factor. SO, he needs HELP.
Starting in March, we reached out to the network of artists in the Graffiti world and beyond,
asking for donations of art to be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to MAD and his family.
The outpouring of support was overwhelming, and now we can offer all this amazing art to you.
The idea is simple: you bid on a custom piece of artwork, and the winning bid becomes a donation
directly to the fund. You get to own a unique one-of-a-kind piece of custom art donated specifically
for this cause…AND you get to support someone in the fight of their life.
Thank you for even considering this auction, and thank you to the artists who made it possible.
