a reminder with this PAVS here.. the UPFE fleet is hurting, lots of WUPFEs being made (white upfes). so if you see some classics like this Pavs that's from roughly 1989 and still running, please flick that shit.. the OG shit is dying in front of our eyes people. that's awesome.. but if you pay attention, there's a fuckload of nice white repainted WUPFEs (White UPFEs) running around with ARMN marks and rebuild dates in the past 12 months. those cars didn't fall from the sky.

with a fleet that moves around as much and makes as much money as reefers do, it would take a while to revamp a lot of them. but considering what the move is in the reefer industry (hycubes, super high-tech Carrier refrigeration, automatic thermostats, remote control, and GPS), i think it's extemely likely that you'll see a lot more brand new, fresh paint WUPFEs in the years to come.

those cars aren't just repainted, they're fitted with the new units that the ARMNs have. in these times of fucked oil prices, what do you think the industry would rather have-- a reefer that can save gas by turning itself off when it doesn't need to run or an old UPFE that runs all the time?
