I know this is a stupid Question

I bought some caps for the fist time and a can. The can doesn't have an original cap or even a nozzle. It has a blac circular disc/lid where you're supposed to put the cap. How do I put a compatable cap in it?

Flip it over and drill a hole in the can then insert the tip in the hole and go and paint the town red.

what kind of can did you buy? It sounds like you bought montana.. if u did u can take the black cover off.
