avatar and sig related problems

I can't seem to get a hyperlink working in my sig?

I know how to do it... basically I want this:

<< dak's fotolog >> (http://www.fotolog.com/__dak__)

but it just displays the text I type to get that.

what's going on?!

also my avatar doesn't want to show up... :confused:

A) Avatars were never enabled in the first place.

B) Hyperlinks (and images) are not allowed in Signatures anymore.
There was a fluke way back that allowed people to do that, but it's no longer possible.
