Congratulations to the members of our community for their accomplishments, awards and honors.

Fernbacher recognized for law enforcement

Officer Gail Fernbacher was recognized with a certificate of appreciation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office at the 26th annual Law Enforcement Awards Ceremony May 12 in Washington, D.C. Fernbacher received the award for her efforts to bring the notorious “****” graffiti artist to justice. Fernbacher gathered evidence against **** ********* for felony destruction of property after investigating graffiti in July 2004. ********* pleaded guilty to destruction of property in February 2006 in Washington, D.C.
