there's most likely not an official IRC channel. i made one a year or two ago. it was ok, but very few people like the idea of old tech. so, there ya go.

there is no official IRC, but maybe one day. most people dont have the technical prowess for IRC and we're too busy with other things to set up some applet or other interface to IRC.

we'll keep it in mind though.
