Fuck... I can't quite put my finger on it...

The loop is from a song called "put your love in my tender care", but I'm blanking on the name of the original artist. I'm out of town right now, so I can't check the record. If you don't have an answer by Tuesday, bump this thread and I'll find it out.

*Oh, yeah... it's the Fatback Band, from the Raising Hell album. The Beastie Boys sampled it on Paul's Boutique (I think maybe for High Plains Drifter?), but that's not the beat on the freestyle.

Here's a clip of the original sample... (http://www.rolldabeats.com/audio/breaks/fatback_band-put_your_love_in_my_tender_care.mp3) this is driving me crazy.

Recorded in 1975 for the "Raising Hell" album as the band came to the boil commercially without forgetting the funk, Fatback's "Put Your Love (In My Tender Care)" has been drilled, chopped into bits and used to fill tracks by The Pharcyde ("Soul Flower"), the Beasties ("High Plains Drifter") and Bjork ("One Day").

Yeah, Fatback had some serious heaters... I recomend this one for your next "getting laid" mix. Never fails.

Also, some Leon Haywood.

everything gets sampled to make a dope beat....i know of 3 songs already where the columbian scene from scarface was sampled in a beat...i was buggin when i recently watched hitchcock's "psycho" and noticed that the busta rhymes song "gimme some mo" sampled the scene where homegirl was driving to california.
