I just learned the sad news that Tony Silver, director of the hip-hop classic film Style Wars, died last night. We have lost a good friend of the arts.

Wow... that's a shame. He deserves an immeasurable amount of credit for the global spread of graffiti.

wow that's quite weird to think that someone who it is possible didn't even like graff from more than anthropological ( think it's the term ) point of view made a movie that is still widely praised by millions 26 years later yet is till widely unknown by world at large!

Aw man, he recorded what was made into history. A lifetime achievement, and I'm proud that he did what he done. Rest his soul.
