When i got rolled the 5.0 had 3000 pages of 12oz printed out, ridiculous shit like channel zero and everything, individually you can post safe but over a few months if you put it all together Youd be suprised what kinda picture of someones life you get, they linked me to the lake in the fishing thread being in my town, and retarded ish like that.

It is a bit odd that you dont let people delete accounts, if they think it will be safer for them you should be on their side.

All I can tell you is that I know that limited deletion of posts can be done under certain circumstances, and that yours would have definitely qualified.

As far as wiping an account completely from the forum goes- I don't think it's possible once you hit a certain post count because it raises hell with the database (in much the same way that deleting threads screws up the database AFAIK). All the admins can do is dead your account....one side effect is this prevents it from being easily indexed but all the posts are still there.

And remember, there's always the Wayback Machine. You can do a lot of digging through old threads on there...even though it's not comprehensive, remember to be careful about what you say since It's all being archived somewhere.

if you have under 20 posts or so we can delete all of them
but hundreds or thousands of posts can't be deleted, like shai is saying up there. he is correct.
i've heard that about cases before, not only with 12oz but other sites too.
so yes, you do have to be careful. they cannot see your IP, so just be more discerning about what you say and what pictures you post.

another way to look at that good rule of thumb is not to say anything online you wouldn't later let a potential employer read.
