that's a damn shame...i was always feelin the 'looseness' that his style had...it was one of those styles that you gotta look at for a while to really appreciate...kinda like the way you(or mabey it's just me) look at a ghost piece and really have to look closely to find the maddness hidden behind the looseness...as usual i dont know if that made sense at all...i really liked his stuff..

Most of the time when a writer passes and people make threads like this one on 12oz. I think that alot of people exagerate how much they really liked a writer just because of their unfortunate demise. And I usually dont post on a RIP thread unless I honestly feel I will miss the writers work. I honestly think the graff game lost a great writer this time (no disrespect at all meant towards other writers who have passed). From what I've seen by FUEL, it looks like the kid a great sense of style, which was displayed even in the simplest piece. I only hope people can look back at my work the way they have with alot of the other writers who have passed.

I met Joe through my girlfriend who went to school with him. At the time I had no idea about his skills, ups, or anything. He was the first and really the only dude I met at my girl's school that befriended me. Ironicly, shortly after first meeting Joe , I first started taking an intrested in writing. Eventually I started to talk time to time with Joe about graf (I think he saw a tag or a old black book of mine). I was such a toy (and still am to some degree), but but he didn't give a fuck and as I got to know him better he spent more and more time talking to me about writing and all the shit that goes with writing. Eventually I came to know Fueler. I guess I am writing this to thank him for not only being one of my first influences in writing, but also being a friend when not everyone was. I know people will say, and have said how great of a kid Joe was, and its the fucking truth. Not to sound cliche but only the good dye young. Rest In Peace Joe.

I'm glad to see people worldwide giving there condolences and respect to Joe, he was a good friend and a big reason I got as far in graff today.
Hanging out with him in high school, throw ups in class, trading blackbooks, seeing his style develop since ninth grade. Plus riding around in his saturn while harrassing everyone in the French Quarter We had good times. He was bout it, bout it with graff. ya'll see that in his handstyle, throws, pieces, etc. Big ups to his friends up north and worldwide, we truly are blessed with memories of King Fuel. anybody remember the graff mag that had a little dedication to Fuel years and years ago?? There was like a page or two showing a couple of his peices including his first piece i believe. I think it was a mag made in the north too.
I know someone in Fuel's family (might've been his sister) bought like all 15 copies of the mag at Tower Records in New Orleans when it came out.
help me out here. I'm trying to find it.
