Friday when I got off of work, I took a walk down to a local yard (denver).......Usually I dont take to many photos, but I decided to buy a disposable camera before i headed down there...I was walking the line.....Flicking a few cars.....I stummbled upon a "zeph", and nace car....A Green car.....

I hadnt seen a nace piece firsthand... AMAZING....I sat there and stared for 15 minutes....Easily...


Lines were chopped up to perfection...

Blew my mind......So damn clean, and so one of a kind...


I knew he was a real dope writer from all the magazine/video shit I have seen...But seeing it firsthand, really proved to me how good he really was...



Thanks for the inspiration......Your stuff still lives on....

It has been 5 years today since John (Nace) was killed by a drunken driver. When the hospital called and told me, my life shattered. I wish for his friends who were in the car with John that day have recuperated and are doing fine with their lives. I have been reading "The Heavens" since then and wish all the families and friends of the seemingly endless listings of people passing, that they pray for their losses and look forward to better days ahead. I am appreciative of the kind and thoughtful remarks made about John. He was a good son, friend and a person with a big heart. If you knew him you knew this to be true. He was always willing to help his friends. Thank you to each and every one of you who remembers John as an artist and friend.

fr80 just told me how nace still had paint under his nails as he lay in his coffin... i dont know why, but thats so fucking dope to me. we all have to go, no getting out of it, and unfortunitly some of us will go sooner than others... but going out when your life is still filled with the things you love has gotta be the best way. were lucky (writers in general) most of us base our lives around painting. i know kids that moved across the country just to find a chiller yard. how many other people can say they've lived a life purely for pleasure? to chase a dream? nace lived his dream and i might not have known him personaly, but it didnt matter, it doesnt matter than most of us never met him, we've all seen his work, an it pushed us all to work harder. he wasnt a super star writer that was bigger than life, he was a kid that put in fucking work cause thats what it means to be a writer. back to the top bro...

My neighbor/ best friend died from a drunk driver in november 06.
For all the people that were close friends to him know that stuff like this
is very hard to get through. I've only caught some marker stuff next to ladders
from nace but as for highways and train lines i see a good sum of good quality
work. Ive met some great writers and he would have been really great to just talk
to for even a few minutes.
