I got a question about NY Thin caps, and why they don't seem to work well with some Krylon and Rusto colors (they spray fat) and other colors the NY Thin cap seems to do what it's supposed to. ... I'll add that I'm totally new to graf so any suggestions/tips whatever for a toy-chick would be much appreciated! Thanks. :D

That only happens in extreme cold for me when there is a variance in line thickness, its not supposed to be an outline cap not super thin detail cap. Ive never had problems with rusto krlyon with a ny thin.

They dont even have a camera in the paint section at my walmart(VA) So sometimes I rack em or get another price tag from the walmart colors and put em on the rustos. Plus the paint section is like in the back of walmart :-D

Ive used all the major american brands and i have to say Belton is the best paint if ur willing to spend $6-8 on a single can. Good pressure and the colors are SOOO BEAUTIFUL. Montana always thick to me. Belton is perfect. Unless ur doing a piece thats worth alot of money to you then get belton. Other wise i personally stick to Krylon.

use plasticoat, duluxs and now ironlak. they support the same caps that fit onto beltons, montanas and so on. usually you can slap a new yorker cap onto an ironlak, belton or whatever. but the outcome may vary due to differences in pressure.

its basik anatomy the girl has a pussay (tha lil hole in tha can)
and tha cap has tha wang(tha stem that goes in tha ^ hole)
but there are cans that are male and they have a stem just look at your spray starch or axe bottel.i hope this helped you;)

euro cans are female, they dont have the nozzle sticking out of the can, meanin they need euro caps. (montana, belton etc.) depending on what you have in your area. most graffiti spray paint brands use the female system because you can do more with the caps. male cans have a stem at the top and you can use deodarent caps for them, the caps have no nozzle on the bottom of them but the cans do. easy to understand.

i dont know why belton is soo popular, it really aint that great. neither is hardcore. to clear things up aswell, hardcore is from spain, montana gold/black etc is from germany, and is a completely different company, with the same name (you may draw your own conclusions to why)- spanish had the name first by the way. beltons arent that thick, and is too high pressure. montana gold is thicker, as is clash. unfortunately america, actually doesnt get that much selection in the way of aerosol paint designed for graffiti, however i love kills, and you cant get that shit in europe! but yea, i think toys should start with shit, i did, most writers did, so the newbies should aswell, apart from the fact they cant appreciate it until they start full color burners. anyway, just my 2 cents.. or should i say pence?

i tried a can of that tar black montana nitro that's supposed to be the hardest to buff and i gotta say... shit is pretty fucking cool. it like bubbles for a second when it hits the surface, not unlike crack cooking in a spoon, but it's real fucking clean. definitely my favorite new paint but maybe not worth the money since i have to mail order it to where i am. oh well.

painters touch in general is quality-fucking-paint! i swear, before any of these newjacks buy montana they should take a good look at that brand, its got the coverage/no drips of montana and comes in decent pressue, although germany outlines dont work to well on it.

go get your rusto can and get the dollar can and swith the tags. be carefull when your peelin the dollar can tag off bc you might not get the sticky part of it so it will fall off your rusto can. this is alot easier to do at night of course because there isnt anyone back in the paint section breathing down your fucking back asking if you need help

Yea definately,agreed, Montana is cool and all, but its cool to know how to use other paint too, everybody who's good had to paint wit krylon, rusto before the Euro shit came. But its like, what if you go to Australia or some shit, and they don't have a Montana dealer nearby, and these guys want you to do a production with them, some ppl would choke just cause the montana makes it seem like they're dope but if they get a crooked line or a drip, they go on to saying how much the paint sucks or some shit. well.... montana is more of an economic paint.
i reccomend BELTON.

if u really want ur shit to last, use thick ass hardcore paint, MEANT for outdoors...aka

RUSTOLEUM.-(the history of rustoleum is it was made for boats, and raw material)
^^ it'll last almost foreva. thick. almost innexpensive. easily accesible.

plus, if ur a chemist, rustoleum is oil based, and will come out thicker and withstand buff, rain, and weather ALOT BETTER THAN krylon, montana, or belton- acrylic aka latex aka plastic paints, which can peal off, and junk.

get some extra strength acetone (at any hardware store).
dont leave them in the bath more than three nights.
otherwise the acetone eats the glue that holds the dot in the cap.
if this happens you are SOL.

I live in canada and i have a hard time finding cheap paint. For instance, krylon is roughly $6 per can and rustoleum are like $5 and anything shittier is roughly $4 and some of the shitty shit is SHITTY. i can find cheaper shit for like $3 but my question isnt about cheap paint i cant find. how important is it to use your fancy caps? i mean i think stock caps are just fine by me for like bombing and throwy's and shit... maybe its just cause im toy but does anyone think i should bother going and getting some fats/skinnies to play with or should i stick to stock? would it really make me any better if i did?

Rusto, or Montana Gold have the best opacity White in my experience, and if you have a steady hand, two coats of Wal-Mart Flat white work pretty good too.

homie, the original kilz white spray primer is thick as hell... thicker than rusto white, but yeah you're screwed into using their cap, but it's still good... and walmart colorplace silvers definitely do the trick.

HELL NO!! i went to walmart, got 2 cans of krylon pumpkin, one of krylon navy blue, one krylon slate black(it's the "see through" black, it's killer for fades!) and a can of owder blue killz! thought i was gonna have a sick combo of colors,(i never had tried the pumpkin :pumpkin: or the killz so this was a sort of experiment) so i went out started with a pumpkin fill, which turned darker than i thought( kinda like a baby dookie brownish orange), laid on the slate black fade from the bottom 1/4 of the way up( looked somewhat decent), then it came time for the powder blue killz, i was gonna lay on some highlights and when i went to spray it the shit came out all messy, the line looked all spattered and sloppy( not too mentioned i had left the cans in my car all day while i was at work and on my way to the wall i was shaking up the killz and the bottom popped out and scared the shit out of me!)

my lack of skills may have played a part in my decision about killz but i think the crappy stock tip it came with played a bigger part! I ripped that god forsaken tip of the can and replaced it with a tip from one of those mini axe cans( the real small ones you get for free when you buy the deodarant) tried it out last night and it did a pretty good job! the paint was nice and opaque and covered nicely and the tip gave it a nice semi-wide(2-3 fingers width) line.

man if you don't know why your paint is dripping, you shouldn't be painting yet. a good practice spot is a piece of plywood in your backyard until you figure out how to make that shit not drip.

So I remember reading either on bombing science or here that wal mart 96 cent cans would be soon able to use caps. I just tried a rusto fat on a can I got today and it worked. So for the broke ass guys like me, yay wal mart.
