Hey sorry for bein off topics but I just visited Rustoleum's site and noticed that there's alot more colors listed for the "Stops Rust" line of paint. I've searched Home Depot, Lowes, OSH, online and this site but cant seem to find anywhere to buy these other colors like dark purple, sail blue, or carnival red. Does anyone know of any site or hardware store that I havent checked yet that carries these colors? Any help is greatly appreciated.

fuck ironlak for outlines.

used it with a pink dot to outline mtn stone grey, didn't cover for shit.
it mixed with the grey, which has never happened to me.
so i stopped outlining and went to do another fill to wait for it to dry, probably gave it about 3 mins,
still didnt work dammit.

it wasnt as bad with the mtn mega light blue, but i would recommend only using it for fills,
or maybe outlining straight dry paint if you have the time.

but its still great paint, ultra thick, no drips and great colors, i recommend grapefruit
its a wonderful dark purple.

I FOUND A CAN CALLED CPF OR PFC, CAN'T REMEMBER WHICH(pretty sure it was those three letters), AT KMART THE OTHER DAY. HAD NO PRICE OR BAR CODE, AND IT SAID MADE FOR WALMART. by mixing with thicker paint.....just use your old Montanas and fill them halfway with regular shit and it'll thicken up a little. plus there's more balls in it for shaking it up and then you can pretend it's a full Montana and be like "yo, all I use is Montana cuz it's the best and I gotz mad loot to drive all the way to a shop 2 hours away and spend on some shit that costs madd looties mang. And then try to tell all your homeboys that they are using garbage paint and that their panels look that much hotter than yours just cuz you used PT or rusto or AA." 1. Spray paint is all ready waterproof.
2. That spray is clear, and the sun will still shine through it.
3. Mixing it into the paint would dilute the color, its like mixing thinner it, but it wont thin it.
4. Desired effect of said weatherproof spray may be possible with a UV proof spray, but seeing as sunlight is neither water nor weather, your post was pretty much pointless.

There's some kind of paint called Kilz that some local writers told me is good... apparently the white is some of the best white you can hope to find. It's at Home Depot for about $5 or $6 Canadian a can.

Kilz is nice. Sprayed on straight brick it will show up still unlike most spray paint. And as far as covering shit, prolly only beat by Nitro or some other 3M like undercoating spray.

actually, i used valspar the other day with its stock cap for a fill. not too bad. but it was flat pink so maybe it was thicker than the others with so much coloration. nice solid color. outlined with rusto though.

I think Rusto is doing some word play. Its a 2X formula...compared to the competition. I didn't notice a difference in coverage from old PT/AA. Good news is that it isn't any worse, bad news is that it still has the female tips.

i have. it is comparable to krylon. it is on the watery side, and very expensive, but here are some things i DO like about it...

it has a normal valve system (unlike krylon)
it has colors that are clear colors, i believe it is called crystal or something, but it is for like tinting/shading, which in my opinion, i mean if you got money to buy clearish paint, is a great idea.
it is normally not in a cage

things i dont like....
very dusty
very runny
very transparent
expensive

as for the h2o,i went to town in the paint section and got asked to leave because i told the lady i was gonna spray whether she wanted me to or not because as a customer i deserve to see what color im really buying.

anyway, she got lippy with me so i put it back in the box i took it from and walked off to the school supplies and exchanged all my rustoleum standard caps to brand new boston thins, which are my newest fav essential cap right up there with the rusto fat and surprise surprise walmart has them both.

stickin it to the man. 1/64th of a penny at a time....

one big difference, our extinguishers that open like this are the silver ones with water inside. they get charged up with a tire pump instead of a gas mechanism like the one in the video

so i did a piece yesterday with krylon h2o.

i destroyed one of the vlaves on the can so it literally poured out the can while spraying, but i determined, no caps work except the black stop caps with the white dot.

typically they come on krylon short cuts and some spray adhesives.

but man does this cap work like a charm. i got lines 1/2cm with a quick stroke. it also filled nicely and did nice fades and blends. ill upload flicks once my boy spk uploads them.

once plus about it is that it dries fast.
it is also very glossy
it lasts FOREVER. (i did two simple pieces about 5 feet wide and 3 feet high with only 2 cans.)

the cons,
doesnt cover extremely well, better than krylon and valspar, less than ironlak...

umm also, the foam was an easy aspect to get over. if you dont spray in one spot very long, it doesnt foam up. when it does foam up however, it dries so fast that if you bnlow upwards the foam will not turn into drips.

overall, i WOULD use this paint again, HOWEVER... i bought it for 2.50 a can at walmart becasue they had it on discount on the back shelf behind the spray paint at the end of the aisle, and had it been more expensive i would have just bought rustoleum....

if the price were higher than 3.50 i would go with rusto for 3.77

by the way, they still have rusto in black, white, primer, textured and all kinds of other undesirable shades for 3.77, but put it all together it has potential in a piece. they are the tall cans with 33% more for free. it is great.



may i say i have recently been contemplating getting the rustoleum logo or some other rusto paraphernalia tattooed somewhere... i dont know, maybe along the inside of my spraying finger...

new krylon white: brand new can doesnt have enough pressure to push the paint out for longer then 3 seconds?! comes out uneven

Red Devil is basically like a half retarded version of Krylon. It's owned by Sherwin Williams and is a bit better quality wise than color place, but not quite up to par with Krylon.

Black is decent, silver's ok, they had a baby blue color that was dope, but steer clear of the white for damn sure.

That was me I think. I picked up some black and white. The black is really good, as Rusto usually is for black, but the white was same old shit. I used the new white with an American Accents white (both male cans)... the older American Accents white shit on the PT white. I'd like to try some of the other colors but the only ones I've seen so far in my area is the black and white...

On the labels themselves, it clarifies on the back that the 2X claim is "compared to other competitive brands".
