why is it that alot of times when a new topic is posted people feal the need to say that its already been a thread,i can see when it is somthing that is a commen question that has a gigantic thread that has like pages upon pages of replies but it seems to happen to a great deal of the post that arent like that and it makes no sense

because thats how we do things here. because if everyone started a new thread for every thought in their pointed little skulls, we'd have clutter everywhere... were just trying to keep things as orderly as possible.
