Word son, you don't even know, I saw the cop buck him down after holmes shot his partner, pure illness. I saw smoke come out his chest where the bullets hit him. Thanks on that piece but it actually sucks, poor planning on colors for the end letters, it doesn't look as good from a distance. I saw what you painted with Mest the other day. Careful with that spot, there's a reason why you don't see it painted often.

Ok.. update for all the jibba jabber come early like 7/8 if ya want....BUT come correct all you new school heads don't look at this as an opportunity to get some quick fame learn the HISTORY do you know who Vaughn Bodé is? Do you know history of his art? Do you know the impact he had on graffiti. This is to pay homage to the man don't come off weak if you don't have your best shit planned , let someone else step to the plate. I just want this jam to look complete not some blank background with a Character plopped to the right of your piece. SPACE IS AN ISSUE we all know how big this place is but there will be alot of heads so try to conserve space and keep shit tight. This jam was in mags/web so if you come off wack the world will peep it.

I will be rolling space for Mark in the dead center on the left wall and the small wall
facing in for his boy. This is reserved for Mark Bode which it should be seeing it's his father we are honoring.

the theme of the day and more specifically the wall is bode's characters and art. as was dont in the hay day of graffiti, bode style artwork will flow through the backrounds of allthe productions. if you just want to come and piece without doing a bode memorial production...there are plentyof other illegal straight spots in ct that im sure are much closer to your house. paint there. would you show up to an MC battle and sing celine dion? doubt it (though i would in fact pay to vies that situation) so in review, if you want to come and burn, burn in memorium of bode

To adress infared question the jam is Sunday you start a piece on saturday and want it to stay there till sunday sleep n front of it . All I can say is heads rolled in last year and rolled the whole damm place. If you feel that desperate to get there on sat night go ahead I wouldn't wanna be down there on a saturday night protecting my piece. Cops flow through there on the regular so be forwarned

I figured there are roughly 43 pieces at least thats what fit last year and FC went huge so with careful consideration of other writters this year I hope to get more heads. BRING YOUR OWN ROLLERS AND ROLLER PAINT!

well how 'bout you edu yourself before spouting off like a
jackass. i personally think bode got big due to a lack of imagination of most writers. I'd rather see a poorly developed original character then a really good copy anytime. The fame seems to have taken over too much of the grafitti. Its funny to put energy into helping some one elses get keep gain fame, by painting there shit.

I was never a huge comic book fan myself as a kid but ive been writing graff since the mid to late 80's and I know my fuckin history.
Alot of the writers whos work you have seen in SUBWAY ART and SPRAYCAN ART got their start sketching over comic books especially Bode comics.
When I was younger I heard Mark Bode was painting a cafe in Western Mass, i was like 15 years old, I fuckin hitchhiked my ass out there to meet him and tell him how much I appreciated his fathers work...painting the high ways on the way out there.
(Luckily SICK156 help me get on a bus and got me home me to Boston a few days later)...lol

Rick Griffin and Victor Moscoso were artists for ZAP and they had been doing art work for hot rod magazines featuring graff type styles for years. (ZAP comics was the source for the flying eyeball seen and kid panama fought over, along with many other characters later painted on trains). Miller, Gonzales, Crumb etc.
DAS KAMPF by Bode was self published in the early 60's and was one of the first underground comics ever...
Bode basicly invented a whole new world that you could escape to from reality and in his world the characters all spoke as if they were straight from the streets (even if they werent from this planet) and they had the attitude to match making it easy for young people especially graff writers to relate to the comics.
Especially my man "cheech wizard" There is one comic in cheech wizard in which bode draws himself into the comic and basicly introduces himself as god to cheech.
It's called MEET YOUR MAKER or CHEECH MEETS HIS MAKER
The lizards are happy as a lizard in shit to meet the great bode but not cheech...
Bode tells cheech he is Bode's greates creation, Bode asks him "CHEECH DO YOU BELIEVE IN ME?" and in true cheech fashion Cheech kicks him in his ballsack and says "I BELIEVE IN ME!"
There are alot of layers in that one...I always thought it was as if Bode were meeting God...He throws up at first in his hat when he meets him, thats a sign if ive ever seen one.
In one of his anti war comics with the lizards theres a lizard alone dying on the battlefield, one last butterfly comes from him and he says "I dont want to play anymore"...Shit, that fuckin moved me. Another is looking for his mother as he dies from a wound. There was so much emotion in his work.
Cheech Wizard had an identity noone knew, his own friends didnt even know who or what he was.
Sound familiar?
He was a rebel.
Bode was a rebel as well, he lived as a rebel and he died as a rebel...
