In 94 I was at this dude Senr's crib. He pulled out a news paper, LA Times Valley edition I believe, and on the front page of the Valley section was a big ass photo, which covered nearly the entire page. It was 15 to 20 dudes all posing for a group shot. They were covering their faces with either their hands, sunglasses, or bandanas (god thats a gay word) and they were tons of tags and shit behind them...Anyways the caption underneath them said in bold ass writing " CMF -CHILDREN MURDERING FAMILIES" I was like DAM!!! that shits loc'd!!! The article was the typical anti-graffiti bullshit they always print-- that shit wasn't important...It was that god dam photo...and the fact it said Children Murdering Families...I bet the do gooders of the valley were shitting when they saw that.....

that state of the valley is pretty bleake now. ventura blvd is all clean. man, i remember ventura blvd being the showcase for tagging back then. rooftops galore. i want to start up ventura bombing again. i am a bit old now though.

i also read in all these other threads about train yards in different parts of the countries being "legal" spots, like the authorities dont care. what was everyones take on the budweiser yard and woodman. i never got sweated at either of those places. but i was constantly aware of the surroundings we would never let our guard down so far that we would just do whatever we wanted. maybe its becuase they are both in the middle of a big city?

back in like 89,me,vogue and syko went down to la for some art show.we deceided to roll thru motor to check out the graff.when we came in,there was this guy sitting on the tressle thats near the neighborhood side smoking a cig.he looked at us and waved.after we walked around for a bit,we started back towards the car.the guy was still there,only now he was standing(so we thought)it looked like he was pissing off the side of the bridge,but as we got closer,we saw what he was doing.he had tied a belt around his neck and hung himself from the bridge.we were only away from him for like 5 minutes.after like a minute or so,people from the neighborhood came out(some of them knew who he was)and cut him down....that shit was disturbing as hell...of course,the cops had to roll thru and when people told them we saw it,they had to do the whole"what are you doing all the way down here from the bay area?"....sorry i rambled,just brought back a memory hearing about motor yard....

Speaking of the motor yard, my friend told me a funny story....

My friend and 2 of his friends were painting at the motor yard a couple of years ago. They thought they heard someone coming, so one of them said "hey! people are coming. chill!" But they continued painting. As the people got closer and closer, my friend noticed it was a huge group (about 20-25) of little 10-12 year old boys with 2 older girls. My friend was thinking "what the fuck are a bunch of little kids doing here??" The older girls even told the kids not to bother them while they're painting. So my friend finally asked "Why did you bring a bunch of little kids here? This ain't the safest place to be." Then the girl responded and told them they were here for a GRAFFITI CLASS! These kids even had their parents sign permission slips. Then those little kids grabbed spray paint and started going over everything at the yard! I'm sure that whole graffiti class concept didn't last for long... you know the ghost team would be on their ass in no time!
