yeah I know different people have diff looks - trust me I'm out there in a suit after work! But i was just trying to make a point about whether people look at the line damage much thats all... just curious.... I go down london bridge as well and through southsides when ever I get the time (obviously I leave the suit when entering south london as the natives who are still barefoot would get jealous LOL)

ps spotty - your so outdated - the writer look is long dark goth trench coats combined with nike cap and trackybottoms... no really!

the thing that annoys me the most is the following:

nba hat with abut 5 different colors and 30 basketball logos
air force 1's (riiinnnssseeeddd)
akademiks (or some american brand)

a lot of people seem to think they are american nowadays

Well i was once told...

When they catch you in the yard the trackies hold your hands against the rail and proceed to break your fingers one by one with their oversized spanners and boots, they call you nasty names and then get their illiterate mates to sit on you until the met van turn up.

After expressing their pented up hatred for all vandals, by saying things like, "Do that in ya mums house would ya, ya little cunt?", shortly followed by a dramatic arrest complete with t.v crews and BBC News 24..and some luxury stainless steel police issue cuffs. Usually after an arrest, and many hours in a cell, officer BTP will turn up with an apprentice, and say through the door in your cell "ello mate, were Btp, we'll be taking ownership of you're ass from here"... or something similar. Then they say, "right so your an Ozzy are ya, ha ha ha ha?" "Home an Away an all that eh? Ha Ha" (belly laugh). Then they interview you in a padded room and shine white light on your face and give you the stern raised eyebrow look and wait for you to sweat profusley... They then remind you that your mate has already grassed you up, so there's not much point in saying "no comment" repeatedly and the fact that you are a 'bloody foriegner aint doin you no favours' ,so then you spill the bucket of bbq beans, give in and tell them the names and addresses of all the writrs you know.. They ask about some other group of Ozzy's that have been in London and show you lots of photos, most of which you'd never seen, but would love to take home.. You are then issued with a Homer Simpson chemical plant uniform made from white paper complete with hood (gangster) and given some complimentary comfy plimsols made in Taiwan..

Then they raid your address of residence, take all your belongings, your woman, and bail you for two years. After your court date you'll be sent straight to Belmarsh where you will be incarcerated for 23hrs a day with a self styled Chopper type fella, then moved to Aberdeen for the rest of your stretch where you'll be incarcerated with a self styled Scottish version of Ian Huntley, and when your released they'll give you an all expenses paid one way ticket with Air Quantas to deepest Woga Woga where you'll will become a recluse and live a long, sheltered life as a self styled Laurence Lleweyln-Bowen charecter, constantly redecorating the shack where that you made from silly string and rich tea buscuits and hemp leaves, obsessively make plans for your sequal of the London tube tour 2004.

In a nutshell, If your a foreigner, then see above, obviously if you're a UK resident then you get sent on all expenses 6 week holiday to Spain to a Villa, to 'think' about your crime. True rehabilitation.

Anyway, welcome and good luck!:) hahaahhahahahaha that is quite jokes...where did you get that sense of humour!

just for the reccord, please dont knick any of my photos for other web-sites, thanks troops.

When I came down to London the tube lines were fucking crashed, it was when that CBS lot were hitting up hardcore at about the start of 2003.

Actually, the photos of those burners that you see, I was waiting on far inferior dubs by the same guys, you see that pink one? I saw that at Paddington, fumbling around with my camera like an idiot!

I had to prioritise seen as i knew I was only going to get one photo before it moved. there was only really one other decent piece on that train.

im sure this has been said before in this thread, but i give london, and all european, but mostly london writers so much respect for how hard your trains are. american wrtiters all got the wrong impressions from dirty hands 2 or whatever. i was in london a few months ago and tried to paint your trains, that shit was like breaking into prison, james bond would have a hard time hitting that shit. all i got was a shitty backjump in the rain after wating in the bushes outside the yard all night from being spotted by security trying to go in. european train writers are some of the most hardcore cats in this graff game. much respect.

TWO graffiti artists who considered themselves "latter day Michelangelos" have been branded vandals by a judge.
The men went on an excursion to Macclesfield train station, then filmed themselves covering a train carriage with graffiti, causing thousands of pounds' damage.
University student Joseph Morris Doherty, 20, of Egerton Road North, Chorlton, and Samuel Richardson, 20, of Hancock Street, Stretford, admitted four counts of criminal damage and were told by district judge Alan Berg they were lucky to escape a jail sentence.
He told them: "You saw yourselves as latter day Michelangelos. While you may consider what you do as art, this is not right, it is vandalism of the worst sort on a huge scale. It is this type of behaviour that blights the lives of others. You were frankly on an ego trip.
"People don't want to see this graffiti, whatever you might think. It is not attractive, it is ugly.

"If you are going to produce it, do it on your own property. You have no right to do it on other people's. I can only imagine what your reaction would be if somebody came to your parents' home to do this type of thing. You would condemn it just as I am condemning what you have done."
The judge, who was sitting at Manchester magistrates' court, added: "It is a tragedy to see you two in court with relation to matters of this nature because both of you are educated and come from decent, good backgrounds and families."
The court was told the men were caught after British Transport Police mounted Operation Juggernaut in the summer last year.
The pair were part of a gang of graffiti artists called the All Out Crew.
As well as painting images on the carriage belonging to North Western Trains they also damaged Network Rail property at Whitworth Street in Manchester city centre, Regent Road in Salford and Denton railway station.
The court was told that both men had passed their GCSE examinations and that Morris Doherty had passed three A levels and was studying television production at university. Richardson had been given two cautions for similar behaviour in the past and Morris Doherty had a previous conviction for criminal damage.
The court was told they both worked part-time for an art research company.
Both were ordered to do 180 hours community service and pay £2,000 compensation for the damage.
Following the court hearing both men refused to comment on what they had done.
But acting Chief Inspector for British Transport Police, Graham Bamford, said: "We welcome the decision of the court. What these two men did was not street art, but plain criminal damage.
"When a train pulls into a platform and it is sprayed in this way it does have an impact on passengers, they don't want to travel on the train if it is covered in paint or has had the windows etched.
"This is why we are glad the courts are taking this type of thing seriously.
"We have started a campaign against graffiti and will continue building up intelligence and evidence against those responsible until we put a stop to it, once and for all."
Officers involved in keeping tabs on graffiti on rail property across Greater Manchester say there has been a marked reduction since the operation began.

To be fair to them, they did seem to be bang on it.

Taking flicks of tracksides for their files, although I guess they were E-road sidings (not exactly your standard trackside).

"Tox and Izit, they go together very often"

Diazobical Dubstars... haha

That pig with his entire desk filled with files on Tox, haha. But what is funnier is that, for all their talk, they still didn't manage to link him with the tag.

Great shot of the Tox.04 leanout on the roof of the route-master bus, with the pig sitting right under it, at the end.

Did you also catch some of the names on their list of "Most Wanted" on the whiteboard?

The African cleaners moaning about graffiti at the beginning was pretty funny. We're the ones who make sure you get paid, you wankers!

Someone called me whilst that tube driver was mouthing off so I didnt get to hear what he was blabbering on about, but he's probably one of those wankers off Tempestuous Trackies.

Those revenue officers were right c*nts as well. Bunch of mouthy pricks, but they were also bang on it. Might have to start buying tickets

Everyone forgot the best quotation from that programme.

It was when the LU worker was in the tunnels and he said something along the lines of:

"This Tox character is everywhere. I see his tags, as they call them, in places which even I can't acces, places I don't know how to get to"

What a load of aerosols

Victor Lewis-Smith

[Text on ballet]...

...Curiously, the carriages featured on ITV1's "The Tube" seldom contain enough passengers to perform a pas de deux, let alone a decent corps de ballet. That's partly because it's much easier for TV crews to operate in near-empty compartments than try to film through a forest of strap-hanging arms, but also because last night's edition was on the lookout for graffiti artists, a rare breed who (like false teeth and closet gays) only come out at night.

"Graffiti is a major major problem," confessed one exasperated engineer, and he's right, because the Tube companies are currently spending £12million a year on removing tags from the paint-work of their trains.

Personally, I'd rather they spent the money on cleaning their filthy interiors and platforms instead, because whenever I travel on the Underground nowadays, I always feel the need to wipe my feet before leaving the station.

"Of all the graffiti vandals, Tox is the most prolific," declared the narrator, referring to the most notorious of htose aerosol-clutching gentlemen of the night who consider stationary trains to be stationery, too.

"They should be prosecuted," a specialist graffiti cleaner added (somewhat paradoxically because, if the vandals were all banged up, he and his skills would both become redundant), and the authorities were clearly determined to catch Tox in the act and make a high-profile arrest.

It could be argued that anyone so devoted to his art that he's prepared to risk 750 volts from the third rail to fulfil his creative urges deserves a one-man exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery, rather than a spell inside, but that's where Tox ended up, and the programme makers obviously disapproved of his antics so completely that they wouldn't even reveal his true identity.

Quite right, too, because the oxygen of publicity is clearly what Daniel Halpin craves, so it would be utterly irresponsible of the media to give Daniel Halpin the satisfaction of seeing his name (Daniel Halpin) in print.

Tox was undoubtedly a nuisance but the real villains of the piece were the officiously authoritarian authorities.

The Revenue Team were bad enough, a group of jumped-up plain-clothes ticket inspectors who spend their days imposing draconian fines on uncomprehending foreign tourists, but far worse were the activities of the British Transport Police.

"How am I harassing you?" sneered one of them while forcing an elderly man to submit to a humiliating personal search in public, a search that revealed nothing more heinous than a few used tickets.

If (like me) you've always thought that the sort of people who want to become police officers are precisely the sort of people who shouldn't be allowed to, then you'll have been appalled to realise that there's one category that's even more dubious: the ones who have to get their jollies by joinging the BTP.

This is a respectable fly-on-the-wall series from Mosaic (an impressive production company that's going from strength to strength), although it looks as though it's been made on a shoestring budget.

Still, that's understandable, because the Thursday 7:30 slot is a local opt-out (one of the few remaining traces of ITV's once-proud regional structure), so if you think that looks a little cheap and parochial, think of the poor buggers in Noth Yorkshire who currently have to watch a six-part docusoap about Flamingoland at this time, and breath a sigh of relief.

One thing that the camera can never fully capture, of course, is the air of intimidation that permeates so much of the police force's interactions with the public, because most constables nowadays are smart enough to remove the sarcastic tone from their voice whenever a film crew is around.

Nevertheless, despite the petty vandalism commited by Tox and his chums, I was left in no doubt where the real aerosols were to be found.

The thing i found funny about the programme, was that the BTP guy seemed well chuffed with Tox having spent 7weeks in feltham and getting a grand fine..

he only spent the time in Feltham because he broke bail. He wasnt sentanced for 7weeks cos of graff, they just locked him up till his trial.
and a grand fine for the years work hes put in? haha

I think he only got a grand fine because he admitted to the graffiti he did on the CCTV camera... If he admitted to every Tox tag he had ever done, then he'd be picking up chewing gum off the street floors for the rest of his life...

Check the one and only HQ graff shop in Brixton (in the village market under the arches) flyers for hip-hop jams and all your supplies at the cheapest rates. Belton and Montanas cheap!

There are halls of fame in Westborn park on the Hammersmith and city line, Plaistow on the district line, Stockwell park estate in stockwell...but dont go there unless u with someone that knows the koo.

I agree Loco, what a joke the paint prices are in there, Montana Gold is great, but can you get it at a reasonable price anywhere!?!

I mean it's not that much better than Beltons but it would be cool to get some Gold coloured paint. Last time I had that shit was ages ago from the non spanish montana range.

They told me in the graphic centre the cheapest place they knew for it was £4.00 a tin, ha ha ha, I might as well go to the 4 star general.
