Jpgs fuckup the quality because they compress the image information, making the file smaller. The bigger the compression the smaller the file- the bigger the loss on quality...if you're using photoshop check the cmpression rate right after clicking 'save as'...12 is the highest and most good quality, adjust till you get a decent ballance.
