I've heard enough about the name thing, blah, I'll change it if it'll shut you all up. Here are a couple of sketches, I made the letters more simpler and added 3D, what you all think?............

lol, first half of replies good, second bad. I have no intention of putting these up, thats why I approached it in this style, more graphical. Thanks for the replies and the red construction lines are there cos the piece looked too plain and I wanted to spice it up. It does look better with them though. Thanks for all the replies though.

why draw graff if ur not gonan graff..

r u one of those paper junkies?

SioN
11-10-2002, 01:21 AM
Some of yall gotta realize though, some shit you do on paper just isnt meant to go on walls in the first place... for something on paper, the first one is pretty damn tite.. def wouldnt work so well on a wall but who cares.. blackbook shit .

GeorgeDubya
11-10-2002, 01:24 AM
Yeah but i would think one would want to get known.. u dont get known by keepin stuff in a tiny blackbook

Dare
11-10-2002, 01:26 AM
^exactly, we're on the same wavelength, lol. But, yeah, not all of my stuff goes on walls, in fact a lot of it just stays on paper - and so does 90% of writers so dont talk bullshit. I draw more than I can acquire the paint, so I can produce styles for blackbooks or walls. These happen to be for blackbook, :P

GeorgeDubya
11-10-2002, 01:26 AM
^^ You know what? me too... lol

SioN
11-10-2002, 01:35 AM
Oh And Im not sayin that you just wanna write in a book or that you dont care about being known.. But, just about every writer does stuff that you just CANT do on walls in a book because its on his mind.

Dare

if you do need a big ruler just use a "chalking line" and poof theres a straight line for ya, now c'mon everybody, hate me, hate me, please.

Dare
11-10-2002, 02:27 AM
^I'd rather u replied about my pieces, but thanks for lookin anyway.

GeorgeDubya
11-10-2002, 02:29 AM
Tiaw. i thought of that but didnt thin the chalk would work well with the paint... but anyway i like ur blackbook style dare

sorry about that dare i like the first one alot and the second ones alright but the "u" and the "z" fell off compared to the rest, and i also like the last one and how you dont confine yourself to one name or set of letters its good to expand your "graffiti vocabualry" so to say.

And to "Spec.tre" the chalk would just act as a straight guiding line, so you would have to wipe it off before you put on the final spray or else it would flake off the paint thats sprayed on it.

11-10-2002, 03:56 AM
i like em both but the hard part is painting them all clean. cause thats they only way theyd be nice.

yo dare, i actually like the style of the last one. i've always lieked the 3D abstract type of style. u got a ill concept going, just make it flow with sum letter strcutures equal to the design.

you would seem like the person to go to when looking to buy a good ruler? can ya point me in the right direction

Dare
11-11-2002, 12:34 AM
^ a good old 30cm/12inch is what I use. Depends how big a piece you want to draw, but that is sufficient for my blackbook, it's A3 size.

Hope that helped, lmao.

this is what i don't like seeing. beginning writers using all these fancy gizmos i.e. rulers, protracters, compasses etc. to make their shit look 'clean' on the paper. i give more props to the toy that can draw a good straight line than the one who can use a ruler.

what are you going to do come paint time? yardsticks and masking tape?

If anyone has come to master the art of gridding to enlarge - They could pull this ooff witgh paint. The second one might need touching up. The top of the S: make it more even.

Crap IM FADED!

wtf? I have been writing off and on for 3 yrs, not consistently I admit, but off and on for 3 years. Dont come to me with this toy bullshit, you dont know anything about me or what I have done. And like I said, this is designed for blackbook, I had no intension of putting it on a wall, I dont put up most of my sketches cos I cannt get the paint, so blah. Facts first, then you may talk.
