Thanks to the inter-net, a scrap can freestyle in an unknown alley made me a semi well known writer out side Chicago's rather enclosed Graff scene. I ain't complaining, fame is fame. It's just funny how things happen.

The story is... I think it was the fall or early winter of 95, and me, Kept, and Joey were walking the Lake Line looking for a spot to paint. Kept wanted to do a roof top and had some shit picked out, but it was all too sketchy for me... like climbing up some stacked up tires or some shit to get to a chain link fence, up that and over barbed wire. I only had like two or three cans and wasn't about to risk my ass to use them. So we were standing in the cold, three white kids on Lake St. in the middle of the night, trying to figure out what to do, and the cops drove by a couple times and gave us the cop stare, and I was getting really tensed out by the whole thing and was ready to call it quits. So anyways we ended up on the railroad tracks and found this chill dead end alley right off the tracks. We painted, Kept did a Kept, I did my funny little couch TV thing, and Joey painted a 2-BIT piece. Like most of the shit I've painted, no one would have ever seen that piece but bums, hookers, and crack heads, but Deep put it on the Internet, and that shit became the one thing that I'm known for, or at least the most popular piece I've painted.
The only really interesting thing that happened that night was on the way home we came up on this crazy stand off between like four dudes with bats against four or five dudes with golf clubs. It was like, I don't know what, like the base ball gang in that movie Warriors.
