throwies give a writer recognition amongst his graff peers. done quickyl in a visible area is an artform alll its own. Peer writers may respect him, despite the publix looking at a throwie as trash
The throwie gives a writer basic outlining and filling skillz for the piece, the more throwies, the better outline skillz for a piece.

the only exception for throwies on trains is on 45's or 48's, cause they're usually hard to come by...but i still prefer hollow pieces...and if you cant do these, you need to get to practicin...

Throws are fine but common. I would much rather see a nice piece over a wall than a bunch of throws. I strive to be uncommon. Anyone can do throws but it takes a lot of practice to be able to do nice pieces. I'm not hating on throw ups, I just like pieces more. Yes they are defienatly worth it, especially when ur just starting and you want to get ur name up. They are quick and easy to do and dont use too much paint. Im a big fan of throwups. Some throwups look really wak but hey what can you do. Start off by doing heaps of throwups, then when ur hot do some pieces because that way people will respect your pieces and not just cap them.
