yes and no.
the feeling you get one you hit a spot one night that will be seen by thousands the next day is awesome even if it gets buffed you still know it was seen by tonnes of people.
but when you hit a less seen spot where you know only a select few will venture it feels good as well knowing that they will be like "what the fuck someone else has been here?".
just depends on your time and place :)

i was fuckin around and climbed onto the roof of a grocery store near my hous and saw a sick hrowup on the back of a sign. i doubt many people have seen it since it isn't visible to the ground. its cool to know i'm one of the few people to see it

doesn't bother me either way i just like to bomb shit when i get the chance. I know i've gone down some alleys thinking no cat would have been down here only to find a tag or 2 and have been surpised by it.

honestly i think its way cooler bombin where you know only other bombers would go. cuz general people seein your shit is cool. but knowing that only other artists in your community will see and probably respect is just great

i think its dope gettin up's, but i think when someone flicks your shit and its a super chill wall in the middle of the woods that you think noone would bring a camera to and you find a stolen flick, is priceless.

i laugh when i see toys hit roof top spots that are sooo terrible you can only see like the top of their wack ass shit and only at angles so far away you can't even try to guess their names
but at the same time i'm sure they had a hell of a time the night they did that shit

doest really matter to me, i know i got spots where no one ever goes but there will be that day some hiker or weirdo is trumpin thru the woods and spot it and be like wtf would that guy do that for?
i paint to paint, it getting seen by hundreds of people a day is a plus though..

It does matter... otherwise you would've defeated the purpose of getting up. You'll be seen for sure. There's sh1t loads of eyes out there that look for graff... just hope those eyes lock on to your ups

To me personally it dont matter if 1 person or 1 million people see it, its more that Ive done it....but I prefer if just 1 writer saw it rather 100 non writers.....but sometimes its suprising the places you find a little tag left by someone....

to me the longer your in the game the less you care about people seeing your work. In the beginning everyone wants others to see their work. As you stay in the game i think u start to care less about being seen. At least that is how i feel. I could care less who sees my work if anyone at all. Like someone said if 1 or 100 people see it in the end it doesnt matter. I now paint for me and the enjoyment i get out of it.

at least someone is gonna see your shit, and its always practice & usually doesnt get buffed quickly

The feeling you get from seeing your name all over the trains is amazing. But its even better when well known writers from your area know who you are.
I like getting up in well seen areas but at the same time its good to hit the spots where you know only other writers will see you

its all about who see's it to me. id rather it be someone who understands the "language" than 5,000 ppl that dont. though thats not always the case, thats how i feel generally. sometimes i really like the obscure hits where only another small handful of people may ever see it. to each their own.

this.
Half the thrill of graff is having people see your name. and its also the story of what gets you to that stage where lots of people know your name and respect it. thats where i am aiming to be in the end. I do it for the love too dont get me wrong, theres nothin better for me than going for a paint with some close mates. but that and the thrill is only the half of it

i like to do both..if you do chill spots writers will see them once in a while.. nn you practice.. but heavy trafficiated spots hellaa people see nn thats always good

If you are practicing then go ahead and hit up any where that is chill but once you got it down then start to enter the jungle and for fucks sake don't be pussy - Engels

I love hidden shit. Cant count how many times i've gone to hit something out of the way just to find I was there a few years earlier. At the same time high traffic areas are fun for the fact that everyone will see it... At least until it gets buffed.

i find more satisfaction the higher the profile, as most writers do i would assume. but i mean ive wrote on drift wood before.. i like leaving little messages in real cutty spots like that

A few others already basically said this, but the way I see it is that you should spend as much time as you can at every spot. If the spot is really hidden, then you should have no problem taking the extra time to fix things. The more time someone spends at a spot, the more I respect them.
Also, I think doing doing throws and rollers in hidden/chill spots is pretty whack unless you're just trying to practice them, but that's my two cents.

i'm not big on fame, or even crushing a city. but to me some of the best spots hardly ever get hit because they arent visable to most people.
like sewers, under seats, inside hand dryers, behind bushes. ect
i was just wondering your views on visability in graffiti.
yea like peices of toliet paper...
Personally, I don't like to hit up walls that can be seen by the general public just because I know I'm still pretty crap. Because of that, I get up in tunnels and under bridges and places that are usually require quite a bit of work to get to.
That being said, I do enjoy walking far off a trail or far into a tunnel and seeing a well-done piece. It just makes it feel so much more special knowing that you're possibly one of the only people who will ever see it before the weather wears it away or whatever.

Of course it matters if it's seen! How else are you going to get the so desperatly sought after attention from mommy if she doesn't catch you drawing all over the walls and scribbling on her grown up's paperwork?
Sheesh, any half retarded 3 year old instinctively knows that!

I think it's best to just paint shit that other writers can see. Fuck all the people who just call the clean up crews and get your shit buffed. That's why I stick to trains and underneath bridges and stuff. As long as your state writers see you, that's all that should matter.
