me and my homie Stuka. I did the characters and the style on the right. (text says: left character: "this wall looks sick". Right characters:"Is it bad doctor?" "Yes, I'm afraid your wall has Igor!" "But don't worry, try new improved Buff ultra!")

hehe your characters remind me of MAD magazine :D
very fresh stuff, actually having the characters doing and saying something adds a real sort of narrative element to the walls. I like it a lot.

I remember seeing that wall that had a 'bad case of IGOR' in a magazine years and years ago, and it blew me away then and has stuck with me ever since. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

sick characters, but my favorite part is the tweaked out pentagram in your "o" in one of the pieces. hail satan and all that mumbo-jumbo.

regretfully, I have to say that most european legal walls blow away the majority of ones in the States... these walls in particular being great examples. Fuckin next generation shit Igor, stuff is really good, I could look at em for hours. kudos!

^^who's this guy, anywho?.....^^
:D
Aside from the technique and style, the characters really stand out in the thousands of characters we all see in countless graff mags because of the humor. It's actually really clever, and the lines are pretty damn funny. My favorite is the ugly dude holding the can of igor and turning into a player, and the kid complaining about painting left handed and losing a new cap is pretty sharp, too. Buff Ultra is classic. Most of the walls have a commercial theme, as in the way that people buy into a product. The kid needing his cap more than his legs, the Igor beauty product, and the Buff Ultra. I like it.
You guys have some dope letters. I'm into that green and black Stuka piece.
Thanks y'all. Thanks a lot.
HAL: Yeah, Stuka has a great style, i love it too. Is he actually known outside of europe? He's quite famous here. Maybe i'll start a thread with pics from my crew (BSC) one day, which is Stuka, Tasek and Tir (and me of course). I'm very proud to be part of that crew, they all have mad talent.
To keep y'all entertained, here's another one:
[img]http://mitglied.lycos.de/igorbsc/pix/SPACE2.JPG'>
The text is really hard to read on this one. On the left of my style it says: "the bloody space creeps are back...". Above the writer that says "IEK": "...back on their mission to preserve all evidence of artistic lifeforms on earth." Character on the very right: "Tune in again next week for a thrilling new episode as creatures from planet graff redefine alphabet. Don't miss it."

Igor... How long had you been painting before you quit... It seems like your can control must have taken a while to perfect... also, How are you from Germany and don't speak German... This might be a stupid question, but I'm from the U.S.... just blame it on that....

Hot post!
Really like the "this wall has igor".
And the reason he doesn't know German is because that wasn't German, it was dutch.
i can't believe that someone dug out my 20-day old thread. Yes, what prvrt wrote was dutch, not to be confused with deutsch (the german word for german). I do speak german.
I think i started painting 1990, might have been ´89, not sure. I quit around the year 2000 or so.

why is every german so good at graffiti?

i think HAL nailed it.
i was reluctant at first, but these cahracters are sick, and a definite break from the monotony of charagters-especially the overworked relistic ones seen in mainstream graff media. a couple of them remind me of the characters on the "schoolin kids aok style" by reas and company. but thats not to take away from the ripeness of them, just an observation.
can you cook igor to a hard substance grind it up an put it in a bowl? if so im on board.

stuka is pretty sick.
post some if ya got em!
I have the issue of Style File
that he did the cover for.
he wanted to come around these days to show me his latest pics, i'll scan and post them as soon as i can. Most of the stuka-pics i got are rather old (from the days i've been writing too), so i'm looking forward to see his new stuff. In the last years he usually "forgot" to take pictures of his pieces, so he can only view them in mags himself, but in 2003 he picked up the good habbit of taking pics of all his pieces. I'll also post some pics by tir4 (also in my crew, the BSC). For our fourth member tasek, just check out www.tasek.de (http://www.tasek.de)

What kind of paint are you using Igor? You ever use the airbrush for the characters? Just curious. Very impressive.

im so glad i didn't see a bunch of "bboy" charectors that with the same backwards hat with different colored clothes, etc.
some remind me of something out of ren-n-stimpy and i love there stuff. its humorous, creative, and well painted. i would like to see something new.

This stuff is great. How long do these pieces last on the legal walls you do them on? Do they get toyed over after a few days or do kids respect them?
psk: no, i never use the airbrush on walls. I used mostly Belton
spoonsports: ren & stimpy were some of my inspirations indeed. There won't be anything new from me, i quit writing for health reasons.
fermentor: it depends. The one with the character that holds a camera got crossed two days later by a kid (i caught him while doing it). The "friday 13th" lastet about 9 months.

That's too bad, I hope you gave that kid a stern talking to. :)
Seriously, you are very good, ever think about going into cartooning or making comics?
i took the few cans that he had and emptied a can of coke over his head. That was fun but i was still frustrated.
Yes, i did think about cartooning but was discouraged by people telling me how hard it was to make a living off it, so instead i studied graphics design.
