Montana Nitro

anyone ever try the montana nitro paint? the 500 ml cans with bituminous black paint in it. i like the fact that it covers silver and leaves a stain after its buffed, but i heard its brownish and not so good. someone whos used it please leave some advice cuz i dont wanna order it and have it turn out like shit.

im not sure if im thinking of the same paint..but i used a "montana schwartz" before...it was nice but as you said, its very dark brown..i liked it though

You'll never know if you like it or not until you try it. Buy some and let us know how it is. There is an ebay auction up for 6 cans of it.. but you would probably only be interested in one can since your unaware of weather its shit or not. That stuff rules. Its the only thing that will cleanly cover silver with out bleeding into it. You dont even have to wait for the silver to dry.
The slower you paint with it the darker black it will be. If you outline super fast it will look brownish. Its thick so you can go slower and they come with fat caps on them.

Word, Nitro is rough, it'll go over ANYTHING, and that shit is hard to buff as well.

Have you actually used it? I don't mean to be rude, but are you talking about Spanish Montana, or German? Cause Spanish makes the Nitro (which kicks ass in my opinion) and I hear German just made some new type too, like gold or something. Just wondering.

Its good... brownish/dark red overspray or something along the lines, it stains nicely.

Recommended for something you want "scarred". :D

The montana nitros, xl, and xxl's are all the same. It is just a different size of can. The coverage is grate- no doubt- but the black is like tar. I got it once and wont get it again. Too much over spray no matter which cap you use.

As for montana in general-- yeah its expensive and I would recommend that you do not use it to bomb. As for the light colors such as yellow, pink, baby blue, and sage I would get montana (not for bombs) because those colors in krylon cant cover anything up ( if you are going over an old piece). It will cover but you waste a ton of paint in a little area. As for using montana on frieghts-- I think it is worth it-- for everyday bombing any other paint will do.

or insted of speanding 8$ on a cna of paint, you could go to your local auto store and pick up some bitomen paint, wich is the exact same thing in a differant can, for about 5$ less

Montana was selling for $3.50 a can off the website awhile back, which is only slightly more than what rusto goes for around here. I would have jumped on that price but didn't have the funds.

Well that depends on how much you paint and how much you order. There were also bulk discounts. I believe I was quoted something like $310.00 (shipping included) for 110 cans the last time I talked to them. I'd have to dig up my old e-mails. The point is you can probably get Montana as cheap as or cheaper than rusto if you're willing to drop some cash and buy in bulk. I won't drop that kind of money until I've used a couple cans of their paint and can find out what the big deal is.

nitro is just like tar in a can its bitumen so it gos on anything straight, its worth getting for chromes makes life alot easier, its just the same as covers all but a diffrent label......

carplan tetroseal is the best stuff ive found, comes with a pink dot on it but dont spray quite as fat as covers all and aint brown either just thick black.
plus you can twoc it from car shops

dude this shit i swear it bubbles for a second when it hits the wall i tried painting a train and using it to outline. and no fuck that. don't use it on steel. sprays tar and not paint. good for bombing though. real good for bombing. i like it for my handstyles. only caps i could get to work were gray dots and pink dots.

ive tried the molotov covers alll....ive havnt tried the nitro but from experience from the covers all it is a dark brown.....very nice at flaring like the guy sed it has minimal dripping....idk wat the guy was talking about but it is buffable...
also idk y everyone is having trubo covering chrome....the krylon ultra flat works covers almost everything but montana chrome
here in hawaii montanas can get up to 8 bucks...
we all buy em 4 peicing....colors are dope...

no Montana Nitro and Nitro2g is a very deep black but the molotow coversall 2 and 3's are the ones that come out slightly brownish but thats because theyre not paint its bitumen and tar (very hard to buff) but sometimes nitro2g the paint just cracks on the surface, litterily cracks...dont believe that shit that they "are the only paint that will colver chrome" thats bullshit i cover chromes with 2 coats of colorplace(walmart paint) and thats equal to like half the coverage of rustoleum flat black.

if you want to buy black nitro,go to canadian tire,they sell black tar paint,it comme with a tip that throw the paint far so you can make huge tag,it cover really well,leave a ghost after the buff,you can also put a universl cap for skinny line and pinkdot or astro fat for thick line and flaire,in the alley of car paint,4$ a can.i only bomb with this since 2 week now...

Nitro is some sick stuff, so's pretty much everything from spanish montana. Sure, ironlak is cheaper, but even with their new guarantee some of their valves still leak, so might as well go the extra mile and get something you know is ganna work well. Spanish Montana really did a good job on nitro.
