Are there any trends that are spreading in YOUR hood/area/city? If so, list them
So far, this is some of the shit I've seen around the West Valley in Arizona
Niggas are tying shoe laces around the bottom of their pants, showing their ankles. It looks stupid.
I've seen a couple guys wearing their headbands around their necks
About a year ago everyone was wearing their shirts inside out
Of couse, Throwbacks, thats everywhere. Though its died down a little bit, throwbacks will never die
Tucking pants into your socks, but thats everywhere
Girls are tearing up their jeans and wearing fishnets under them, fucking ugly. It looks alright sometimes. People have been doing this for years though.
Tearing up shirts and shit
Custom made jeans. Guys are getting bleach to write things on their jeans. This I actually like.
Air brush, and stencils everywhere
People carrying around backpacks are wearing the little kid cartoon backpacks, but thats everywhere. Dumb
Pink....again, thats everywhere. Damn You Cam'Ron.

People wearing t shirts on one arm, with the other half bunched up on the shoulder. People with actual washcloths on their heads, just chillin' out.
There's a large amount of people at my school here in (blank) that are sporting the sweat wristband look with Jah colors taking prominence as being the most popular style.
The whole electroclash/trash look is big too. Emo styles keep the outskirts on lockdown.
I'm just trying to get by unoticed

Here its all truck driver hats (worn slanted), pink polo shirts with the collars up, seemingly frameless euro fade shades, and tight fitting stone washed jeans ...
Does anyone remember that guy "Iwearpinkshirts" and how he was all like "pink is the future". That dude totally foresaw that shit.

I've seen those retardedly long T shirts, apparently they sell them at the mall in stores with shiny reeboks and throwbacks with jacked color schemes. Looks like a nightgown/mumu waiting to happen.
I've seen the full coordinated velour jumpsuits coordinated with white/pastel jumps and silver 80s name necklaces.
Basically people are buying what's made avaliable to them, they've got those choppers shirts everywhere, trucker hats in the mall, those horrid cotton skirts in the preppy mall retailers, faded jeans in every major retailer.

besides, if you say that you "hate" when someone else(!!) wears this or that, you my friend, have mental issues. because if you let something little like that, which has nothing to do with you at all, create hate in your mind, you obviously need to seek therapy of some kind.

These were really, really popular a couple months ago, so everyone went to get a pair and they were all sold out. This, in turn, led to countless people getting on wait lists, which are all being fulfilled now. So what you're seeing is girls that are just getting their cool snowboots, that were popular almost a quarter of a year ago when many places had snow on the ground, right now.

Japanese people in Tokyo are the trendiest people alive. Everyone and their momma has a Louis Vutton purse, wallet, bag, whatever. Everyone has a cellphone, with the camera and the games, and everything else. Everyone has a song ringer too. All the hip-hop women wear trucker-hats with the graffiti design on it, the white 1980's belts with the metal spikes, jeans, and some type of Air Force One, Chuck Taylor, or any other classic shoes. All the hip-hop men wear the fitted hats with the throwback jerseys, and let me point out that almost all of them have the hat tilted in the exact same direction with either a du-rag or a bandanna underneath.

i'' explain the pink thing as best as i can. keep in mind i just had more than my share of vodks tonics.
pink is classic country-club old man attire. and old man clothes are cool. pink lacoste and ralph lauren polos are fresh. especially when worn with white linen pants or shorts. pink dress shirts are equally as cool.
but just when you thought it was safe.....
the RAPPERS ruined it. typical. cam'ron shows up on "rap city the basement" or something sporting some probably knockoff coogi oversized t-shirt. yikes. then all the "college thugs" start coming to class in xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxl pink t-shirts with "gucci" printed on them in glittery letters. as if gucci makes such ridiculous shirts. ESPECIALLY in such incredible huge sizes. WHO are they kidding. everybody with a hint od class knows that this is just some northgate mall urban trends purchase. then these gos-awful stores like hollister start making pink polos as well, further ruining the color pink.
wear pink the smart way. NO ghtetto gear PLEASE.

It's funny because 5, 6, 7 years ago if you was caught rocking the straight bill on your hat you'd get clowned. Every mothafucka put the crease in it. And if you was caught wearing an older edition of a jersey you'd get clowned. Now people who rock creased bills get clowned and old throwback jerseys are now the "trend".

Haha, I saw those at the convenience store for 20 bones (all figures Canadian) each! I wonder if they were real or not? Doesn’t matter, I suppose – what kind of craftsmanship does it take to make a trucker hat that has a big label on the front?
I was checking this girl who works at Roots. As I was chatting it up with her at the counter, I noticed a trucker hat that said ‘roots’ in a grade 3 graffiti style being sold there. It was the worstest attempt at graffiti ever, and it was selling for 40 dollars at the store. I’ve only seen one person actually wearing it.
<KEY3>

Weapon X
05-10-2004, 07:40 PM
Yes, because scam has the skill.
Honestly, words can’t describe how poorly this roots hat was. Well, maybe they can. Honestly, picture a grade 7 student from Kennington, Ontario doing graffiti in the margins of his history notebook. Colour it in, and voila – the fall/winter mesh hat line at Roots.

We all know its close to impossible not to follow some or atleast tolerate something outrageous just because its fuckin everywhere....you may not be mainstream but you follow some kind of trend personal or not. I my self, like simple stuff and just try to look sharp in simple stuff in a totally opossite way of 'look what i'm wearing' however i dont hate people that floss...what i hate is just how blind some people are, boys and girls, i thought the whole point is to feel comfortable in your clothes and look good...i cant understand how some chicks with beer bellys go and rock those tit-height tops or how some dudes grow hair when they're half bald making them look like they just survived a neuclear holocaust....just because its trendy...fuck that shit, the whole point of dressing up is the same as being in general, carry your self with dignity and presenting an acurrate impression of what you are and where you stand. here in d.c. its now that fucking rediculous over print hoodies and vans scene now also the big shades, but real people that know whats up rock the north face and nike ACG's.
the trend here in my area is either pseudo Emo style or the hip-hop gangsta style.
for pseudo Emo style:
black and white checkered shoes or accessories
black t-shirt
fitting mutilated pants of any color
make up for both men and women (eyes with black eye liner)
black nail polish for both men and women
for hip-hop gangsta style:
bling (necklace, earrings, bracelets, etc. usually the fake ones)
basketball jersy with white undershirt
trucker cap, bonnet (during hot weather), or sum rug on their heads
shades (during day or night)
baggy pants or shorts
For women:
shades with thick frames, usually colored white (day or night, fake or original)
hand and shoulder bags in metallic colors such as gold and silver
rugged mini skirts
sandals with some rope tied around the leg, also in metallic colors)

Yeah I've noticed alot of that at hardcore shows, mixing hardcore (anti?)fashion with hip-hop fashion. Not too tight jeans (but definitely not baggy) any variety of shirts (from gangsta to hardcore band to blank) thrown in with some Addidas or Nikes and a fitted cap. Usually gauged ears.
I like to keep it simple a pair of jeans or cutoff Dickies, a blank tshirt, and some comfortable shoes. Maybe a knife or a blackjack and I always have at least one paint pen.

Exactly the same at hardcore shows in London as well! They always have one ridiculously big gauged ear, then as soon as the kids turn 18 they go and get their throats tattooed

One ear gauged bigger than the other? I've only seen one kid with a throat piece over here in California. It was sick, a crazy looking falcon, wingtips up to his ears.
