negatives:
-Cheney's a great tap dancer and tends to stray away from the base of a question. His rebuttals are weak and also seem to go to Kerry's record (flipfop) when trapped. he seemed out of gas about half way through.

-Edwards, acts as if john Kerry is talking to him from heaven. Stutters, slipped on a few issues and low blow(Cheney's daughter), talks a good one but seems alittle too good to be true. Has a plan that we never hear about.

positives:
-Cheney good speaker, seems rational. Did best with the limited amount of arsenal that he had.

-Edwards, the Roy Jones of politics, crazy hand work, taunts opponents , quick combacks, gets the last word. didn't hold back.

i personally feel this debate was better than the last. 6-4 Edwards

...just finished listening on the radio...is it just me or was this debate sloppy as hell...i mean they barely stuck to the rules, she allowed a 30 second every time...then she tried to give an extra one to edwards...just run kinda sloppy...

...all in all i think it was pretty entertaining...i wasn't too interested in the medicare shit, but the begining was pretty heated...the haliburton shit was awesome...the fact that cheney refused to comment about gay marriage was just crazy...i think edwards showed pretty obviously that he doesn't have the experience to call on but he backed it with a lot of charisma and just being honest...

...i'm curious if anyone can comment on teh visuals that i missed...did anyone just get super pissed?...

Haha .. sorry, the woman showed up to watch with me, so I wasn't going to pound away at the keyboard the entire time.

I thought Edwards was good, but not great. He missed a lot of opportunities to clear up misleading statements endlessly made by the Bush campaign. But I still think he came off much better to potentially undecided voters.

Cheney scared me. But I think that was the whole point. Fear=BC'04.

Edwards 7 - 3 Cheney. But I'm very biased.

I was just watching it. I checked a few minutes of the post debate analysis and remembered why I don't watch TV news.

I'm still digesting, but Edwards definitely made awesome points that Cheney couldn't even begin to fuck with. He was much more affable than Cheney was, and had better personality.

On the other hand, Cheney didn't look like the total retard Bush did. He was pretty pissed off looking at times though, I don't thing sneering at the entire country on TV is a good idea, even if you're directing it at JRE.

The moderator woman kicked much ass tonight, I must say. Homegirl came up with some awesome and very pointed questions for both candidates, A+ for her.

I probably won't be on here much tonight (schoolwork, ack), but we'll see how the big media spinning goes.

I thought Edwards definitely came out on top on this one. The debate was definitely less professional than the last one, but what can you expect? It seemed like it was getting pretty intense in the middle of it. The beginning and the ending we're kind of tame, but in the middle somewhere, the shit just hit the fan... Interupting eachother, Cheney handing out evil looks while avoiding the Halliburton subject for the most part (he said it was a "smoke screen"), both of them gaining off eachother with each question and rebuttal.. I enjoyed that.

With the last debate I couldn't honestly say Kerry beat Bush. I thought it was pretty damn close, I guess Kerry did gain some momentum from it though. With this one, I can easily say with no doubt in my mind that Edwards won.

Edwards could have done better with his delivery, his face expressions and verbal stumbling i mean. Cheney did a good job of seeming rational and level-headed, compared to his normal demeanor. something signifigant to me was when Cheney said he has been a mamber of a labor union, and injured in a hospital without health insurance, in trying to appear to be familiar and in touch with "middle class" America, he has been a priveleged person his whole life.
