Hey im back again. I changed my name completely. I was half asleep when the name popped into my head. Just drew this up a couple minutes ago. I wish I had a better camera because it would look better. If you cant tell I have some dots and lines colored with silver sharpie inside the letters. Here it is, comments and criticism please, I need to improve.

and for making stencils, has anyone ever use those clear overhead sheets to make them.

I doubt you'd need anything for your eyes... If you really want something then I guess you could use just normal swimming goggles but it'd kinda impair your vision so you'd havta take them off every couple of seconds to see the piece... I'm starting to get into stencils too and I heard somewhere that manilla folders are nice... I think it was on this site or stencilrevolution so I'm getting a couple of those to see how it works out. That's tight you're getting into paint finally rend. And maybe you should just make your own stencil writing style... It can't be amazingly hard but then again I might be wrong... Dirty Baker's Dozen looks tight though

I wear regular protective glasses. (Also respirator and gloves) The ones you can find at Home Depot or Wal Mart. They're like sunglasses but clear. Cheap too. I have gotten paint in my eye and it's a mother fucker. :shook: -Ha, that dude said swimming goggles. I'll have to draw a character for that one.- As for stenicls, I have a simple stencil "THE SEEP" in this kinda font style. I think it's great. Simple stuff. Quick and easy too. I use manilla folders. Need a bigger stencil, tape some folders together. They're cheap, strong and flexible. I steal mine from work though.

try and be LIGHTER with them pencils and less rugged and ruff smarten it up alot

it not the materials its you

a bad workman never blames his tools

90% artist
10%materials

get them pencils sharpened light fine lines try doing your letters in block formation not in block letters

Anyways, that artsy one is tight except for that extra tumor thing off the right side of the Y... That looks kinda misplaced... The first one's tight except the spikes just don't fit in that well and the N and the D look similar... Yeah, that's pretty much it.. Lookin forward to your painted stuff!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking... I'll do a Sert with that style soon like tomorrow or something and I'll put maybe a normal 3d or just one shadow...

And yeah my handstyle was kinda messier than normal in that since I had to go eat lunch and my mom was getting pissed so I just did it as fast as I could... Still need practice at it... I'll do that lazy fox jumps over the brown dog or whatever sentence in school when I get bored... Maybe it'll improve

I just fill up spray bottles with crayola washable markers. It works well because the marker just bleeds into the water and it makes dope pieces when you spray it.

Man, I hate to see myself in the toy forum, but I'm in real distress right now... For a while, I was trying to overcome my dellimna with the coloring of my sketches... For awhile, I've been trying different techniques to color the filling of my drawings, but it hasn't been working right, for the most part, the sketch would look murkey and flat... Something that has been pissing the shit out of me for awhile, I have abunch of sketches with that problem, but theyr in the hands of my other friends... i only got one sketch witch have that problem..

Well the 3d is totally screwed up all over the place... We can't crit on letter structure since we can't see the letters and the structure's one of the most important parts... Simples are the way to go if you're a toy. You can't just expect style to come by adding arrows and all that shit. It takes years and years from what I've heard... If you noticed on the top left, I used the quick stroke technique, but at the end, it leaves some dark lines and unwanted light spots in some portions of my filling... bleh

Computer paper, its not the type of mediums i'm using, its the technique that I'm trying to figure out. Any other writer out there is capable of doing anything crazy with computer paper... I just cant cut out the way they do it..

Rend, dope stencils. It's not lame to use the fonts, they're bad ass. As for your sticker collection. What'd you do, rob the post office for all their stickers? I just go in once a day and grab a stack. I also boost the Hello My Name Is stickers from the store. 100 ct per pack. Did you watch the news tonight? They had a thing about those stickers all over town. The Udowntown thing. I was wondering if one person was going around slapping those stickers around... Anyways, I'll hopefully have some new shit up here soon. Gotta get some time to do some stuff. Oh, as for when the people ask you what you're going to do w/ the paint. As long as you're 18+ it don't matter. I always say "Why you scared?" :haha:

It's not lame, but whitebold is a very overused font. You should try to do something to the font or the style or background to make them more original. Also, I think you seem to be either spraying too close, too much, or with watery paint. Get some spray adhesive to hold the stencil down, and spray realy lightly. Your stencils will come out far cleaner. What paint are you using? It seems very watery. Nice to see some stencils though. Here's one of my stencils using a font.

Good start but loose the extension at the end of the T and try to keep the thing consistent like at the bottom of the R it's all sharp while everything else is bubble letters... Good other than that though...

i mainly use black or blue pen..

once in a while i'll draw in pencil.. and i try to stay away from using large nibbed markers for drawing on paper.. since they tend to bleed and force my to work by making things larger than they need...

although if you have the correct type of paper you should have to worry about unwanted bleeding and color blending

one side is glossy and the other plain...but sharpies bleed on the plain side..
