all i used was sharpies for the colors and a sakura white paint marker for the first inline...
the last two inlines were done with a white out pen.... i didnt have a paint marker at the time, which i prefer

Out of all the "pieces" you just posted, I like this one the best. The letters are pretty nice. [that can is pretty fucked though] Anyways, it looks good because it's simple and it's in black and white. I suggest making ALL your pieces black and white for a while. The colors you chose for that first one.... isn't .... very.... good. It seems to me that you don't have a wide selection of colors.

what up toad?¿? i cut the pics out of mags or whatever and i jacked my lil cousins my cousins elmer glue cement brush thing just paste it on the page in my blackbook, used sharpies and they covered up the pic pretty cool, and used a paint marker for the inline.

honestly i think the hardest thing about graffiti these days is coming up with an original name. I'm assuming you write aze which i'm surre has been used before in fact i used to write ase years ago. Almost nobody sticks with the first name they come up with but you really shouldnt worry about that now. Just keep practicing and keep your letters simple and move up from there

Migo: You really have to learn how to connect letters in 2 dimensions before you start doing them in 3. Piecing rappers' names is stupid, you come off looking like a 12 year old.

Getting back to the letters, you really need to draw a lot of 2d straight letters and perspective letters before you can do a decent wild style, let alone 3D style.

If I were you I would concentrate more on letter structure, than perspective, 3d or anything, Kinda like what some of the sketches Hovie is doing. Once you learn your letters and how to manipulate them properly youll progress much better.

-keep it simple, even if it there just straight block letters its the best start. and the best way to learn.

first off unless your like eight or so this isnt exactly rocket science, you need to start figuring stuff out on your own.

Letter structure.
take a look at a simple yet classical font. like the typeface here on 12oz.
times new roman for instance...

your name...or whatever...MIGO migo. study the structure of the letters, they are made up of simple shapes, ie. bars. look at them like shapes, all drawings can be broken down into simple shapes then built upon.

your girl drawings need work but at least you are drawing. If you arent old enough to get into a life drawing class try picking up some anatomy books and studying the figure it will really help you along the way, I reccomend any book by Bruce Hogarth amongst others.

first, you are shading too much, the lightest parts of the body would benefit from being left unshaded altogether, and the darkest parts should be darked. It's all a bit middle-gound really

Second, you are getting all caught up in "I'm drawing a sexy girl" and not paying enough attention to the whole body shape. The hand and arm on the "tattooed" one is completely wrong - crammed in small in order to keep it on the page. It gives a drawing a sense on depth if you allow the body to be "cut off" by the edge of the page - ie, it makes for better composition.

The hair on the one grabbing her tits is awful. it derves as much time and effort as here tits do, but you've just scribbled in a bunch on random lines. Her tits look like some melons shes carrying against a flat chest, you went so nuts shading them that they are too spherical, and here cleavage looks like she has been kicked in the sternum. And the ott abs you gave her look like a second boobs is about to sprout beneath the one she is holding.

No doubt these were drawn from photo's = cool I do that too. But if you ever want to be able to render the body properly, you will need two things:
Practice with more than airbrushed photos of plastic girls.
AND
Actual life drawing


If these things aren't for you, satrt looking at doing more stylised, cartoony characters

times new roman for instance...

your name...or whatever...MIGO migo. study the structure of the letters, they are made up of simple shapes, ie. bars. look at them like shapes, all drawings can be broken down into simple shapes then built upon.*

Back to what I have to say. M I G O. The M is made up of four bars, two vertical, two slanted down in between the vertical. The I has three bars, two horizontal, one vertical. The G is a semicircle, a verticalish bar, and a horizontal bar. The O is your basic circle, until you get the letters down, don't change it from a circle or anyhting. Any letter has bars that it is made up of. Look for them. Draw each bar separately with pencil, outline in pen, and erase the pencil in the fill of the letter. Practice this until you know exactly what I mean. Over time you will come to see each bar in a letter immediately, it just requires lots of sketching, and lots of study. Peace man. Anybody got something to add that I forgot, tell the man.

Notice how the bottom two sketches, bar lines overlap. The two finished peices were most likely constructed in this manner than cleaned up during the outline *Notice the PAGE outline and the visible changes he made to the pencil.
