I know there is a shoe thread, but this is a more specific thread company and models
As the year draws to the end I feel 2004 fashion will have to be the NIKE SB RANGE:

alohas are dope, but dunks been played... it's all about air trainer 1's and the max's (bo's grey yellow!!! hottest retro since jordan v's)... jordans, air max 95's 90's 1's and bursts... and old school acg's.

i'm pretty tired of dunks myself. those dqm 90's are real nice, but i'm kinda tired of sneakers. still wish i could get the pony hair or red, white, and blue patent leather bapesta's in us12, but other than that I think I might get a pair of callous next.

some of the visvim's are pretty nice. i'm kinda digging the whole wallaby style shoe these days. I picked up a pair of shoes made by prada that are on that tip. the main callous shoes I like are the tachekazi range, particularly the being hunted edition.

red and white wallies that match bend my baseball cap...
clarks still hold it down there... being hunted's edition is fresh... not my steez but fresh nonetheless...
back to sb's... forbes and alohas showed creativity mixing different mediums (so to say)... otherwise they are just colorful dunks or deltas... to each their own... sheep.

Sell them to Kids for $60?? Huh?? What world are you living on? Have you ever gone to a skate shop for an SB dunk release? They get about 15-20 pairs of each SB dunk and with the exception of a few colorways there are usually more than enough kids lining up since 4am to dole out twice (or more) than what the shoes should be retailing for.
These shoes for the most part never make it into the hand of skaters or kids, but to re-sellers. I also love how people always refer to it as an SB craze. It has nothing to do with the fact that their SBs. Nikes other SB shoes sell like shit! It's the fact that It's becaus ethey're dunks and Nike purposely helps feed the hype by limiting the numbers and locations of availability. If they really cared about getting them into the hands of kids who skate they would give them production numbers similiar to the Angus or the Ecues. This is a sploy by nike to try and Hype anything else with the word "SB" on the tongue and in a Pink or Grey box off the shelfs, too bad it isn't really working.

Kid's dont benifit from buying poorly designed skate shoe's, and having quite a few friends who have skated them i can tell you they deteriorate rapidly - they are not built to last and i have no desire to support a product that carry's a heavy price tag and doesnt deliver quality.

In most cases it help's to read what a person wrote prior to responding, Some one saying that they wont support a company that sell's a product that is poor in quality - is entierly different then saying that they wont buy the shoe only because of price/the sit. with a local retailer.

Launch of Raygun dunk @ LE
Frontal, review, 15 Jan 2005
Raygun Launch: Is The Hype Picking Up?
http://www.frontallabs.com/nfrontal/web/display_images/ga_rayguns_003.JPG
Where is the queue!? I asked a couple of people waiting outside, when I soon found out this was only the head of the snake that circled around the car park of Queensway Shopping Center I was shocked.
http://www.frontallabs.com/nfrontal/web/display_images/ga_rayguns_006.JPG
When I went to see for myself, I was speechless! The turn out for the “Rayguns”; had totally surpassed the number of people queuing for the “Hunter Dunks”! Was this a sign that the scene was becoming more main stream? Are more people getting into the gear, the sneakers and the lifestyle of street culture? It certainly seems that it is.
Certainly the publicity surrounding sneakers, especially Nike shoes lately have sparked life into many people totally not aware of the hype surrounding Nike and their famed dunk. Newspaper articles, word of mouth, online sites, television and much more has been hyping up the desire for kicks and gear to an even greater extent here in Singapore.
http://www.frontallabs.com/nfrontal/web/display_images/ga_rayguns_011.JPG
With each sneaker launch, the queues get longer and longer, and with this observation, I can certainly say that it is quite evident the level of awareness in Singapore as well as the scene is becoming more public and mainstream. Touching back on the launch, I thought that the LE crew handled it very well, getting people their shoes in an orderly manner that was smooth and efficient. As the launch time inched closer the line, came out of the shadows and showed itself. Extending from the front door of LE all the way down to the basement parking area and from there it stretched about 100 meters more into the car park. It was amazing how many people were there, but I was surprised I did not see any obvious resellers. It was quite shocking actually because the turnout of the “Hunter dunk” was smaller, but there was a definite presence of obvious resellers. But at the “Raygun” launch it was quite the opposite.
http://www.frontallabs.com/nfrontal/web/display_images/ga_rayguns_002.JPG
As LE opened its doors the line diminished at a fairly fast pace and within an hour or two, everyone had gotten their pair of kicks and walked off with a smile. All in all it was a successful launch. All I can say is kudos to the LE crew for making it so smooth and efficient; we hope to see much more in the future.

i really cant skate in dunks,
they are way too flimsy and thinly soled..
its liek skating in converse or vans fairlanes...
these on the other hand look a bit chunkier.
what are these called?

no, he means 60 british pounds, not us dollars. which converts out to around 115 us dollars i think. you can get them in store for cheaper.
or you can get some factory variants from www.cankicks.com , those are good if youre gonna skate in them cause you dont have to worry about messing something good up

welcome to my world. Once you skate the deltas you never go back.
Those Paul Rodriguez b&w kicks are slick
The Urban Outfitters I worked at carried the DUNK SB's for $80, certain styles went on sale for as low as $10 within a year. I am the owner and ebay purveyor of many a NY Knicks color SB DUNK pair, as well as the grey/blk/gum style.
by the way, FUCK Urban Outfitters. The hipster Illuminati begins there and spreads to Tower records.

those arent SB dunks...they are general release colorways from a couple years ago. urbn doesnt have a SB account, that usually is designated to SkateBoard shops.
you wont fetch much for those particular pairs on ebay....
