That looks like a really good show, almost like a remastered best of compilation. Anyone know if there’s a catalogue available for this show?

That show looked really good. Dare I say it, but I was getting bored of seeing the same stuff in Twist shows. Good to see this new stuff, looking great.

I always liked twist but yet i've never seen a graffiti related gallery/museum show that tops graffitis energy outdoors or atleast transform that energy into something new. I dont really undertstand why the sculpture but its always nice to see the drawings

apparently the sculptures are animatronic amazes that do tags, or at least follow the motion of the tag. i don't know exactly, that's what i assume. the magazine i read about the show in kept calling them robots.

The bottles were definately my favorite. I think all the clear glass is what made it stand out.

man really Twist desirves his props...

ive been into this shit for almost 20years and i got madd love for all the people all over the world doing this shit...one thing i dont like is when fools talk shit about how some writer sold out...man if you can make tracks like this dude Twist then i think you can do what ever you want to do...reallly in Remember going to SanFran back in 1990 and seeing Twist up Bigtime allcity on everything from rooftops, mail boxes, bus stops..every thing and evry where...see im from the olde skoool bombing scene out west and hands down Twist killed shit....i never really got to know the cat but met up wit him out in StLouis1996...the dude was real kool. got to hang wit him for a day...and even caught up with the cat on a few westcoast instalations..One that comes to mind is when he had a show at the Arm&Hammer gallery on Wilshire and Westwood ..in WestLA...man its a trip to watch these cats grow into what they are today..

one love to Barry mcgee...get yours dude...your shits still rollin :king:

a few years back i was fortunate enough to see twist's segment of that art 21 video (link above). half of the part was barry then half was margret killigan (rip). showed him doing some tags, a screw throw up, and some gallery work. an amazing few minutesof my life.

Seriiously. I do not understand kids these days at all. if it's more than a year old, and you've read it twice then it's no longer fresh, relavant, or interesting? And who the hell is dude to just declare something played? Oh word? You're the boss? Ok it's played then. Hey everyone the boss said Twist is played and overrated. Guess we all have to be as terminaly unimpressed as he is now.

What I find hilarious is the kids that I would hear say shit like that are the ones who are doing all the trendy shit in writing right now... like 70's style pieces and the uglier the better.

Writing is fickle and writers are the biggest bitches on the planet. Go to a jam and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about...

i was down at the giant robot store today, saw a barry mcgee book that they're putting out. they also have a book out for margaret kilgallen that was impressive. then they had a twist/espo/amaze book that was worth grabbing. just thought i'd put that out there for those of us who can see the importance of these people. anyone who wants to sit and talk shit --they're just wasting their breath.

twist / barry mcgee has been my favorite artist scene i found out about the dude, his work and life style is a huge influence on me, i been trying to get a hold of one of his paintings for quite sometime but they prices they fetch are way out of my ballpark, and i dont wanna just settle for some sticker off ebay.
