lets see what kind of controversy we can get on this...
Physicians vs. Gun owners.
a. The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.
b. Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
c. Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171. (Statistics courtesy
of U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services) Now think about this.
Gun Owners:
a. The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000.
b. The number of accidental gun deaths per year (all age groups)
is 1,500.
c. The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.000188.
Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more
dangerous than gun owners.
Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do"
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

yeah... I saw him on the daily show in a suit and tie,
clean shaven with no baseball cap. He's willing to clean
himself up to take away the easy ammo against him.

hmm..
i am not sure i believe that.
just because a person was killed by a prescription or because they didn't have a procedure soon enough or because the procedure was unsuccesful, or because they got an infection at the hospital they were recovering in etc etc doesn't make it an accidental death caused by a physician.
there are so many goddamn diseases and treatments.
doctors are not responsible for everything that goes wrong.
there is always a risk associated with health care.
btw.
cars kill plenty of people too.

not to mention that the same corporations that make cars
and claim to be our 'friends' knowingly permitted unsafe
vehicles to be sold across the country even as the death toll
rose.

best ever pro second amendment statement....
michael badnarik.
The Second Amendment is "not negotiable," and Badnarik refuses to get a Texas concealed-weapons permit - because "rights do not require permission." Source: Michael King, The Austin (TX) Chronicle Jun 11, 2004

stats are too easily manipulated into supporting whatever theory you want.
its just numbers and doesn't take variables into consideration.
What about pro-lifers that willingly get pregnant knowing that there is a chance that the woman’s fertilized egg won't successfully attach itself to the wall of the uterus? And then the fertilized egg gets expelled when she has her period?
MURDERER!
But seriously, this is one of the most absurd comparisons ever, even though I think everyone should be able to have a gun if they feel fit.
But like Bill Hicks said, “There has to be a point in our evolution where we put the fucking guns down.” Some people just haven't made it to the evolution bell curve yet, and I'll wait there and protect myself from these people until they decide to start questioning their own beliefs, and leave their philosophies open ended.
Fucking idiots.
