today i found one of these, it looks like a thick deco paint pen, has a hard felt tip with a valve, and has ink instead of paint, it smells like xylene. i haven't had a chance to use it, anyone know how the ink in these is?http://www.chiswick.com//images/product/Full/ch1471.jpg

Where'd you find these markers?

My guess is that the ink quality would be similar to Marsh, since it's designed for the same purpose. The real way to find out would be to use it. Valve markers are the best.

found them by chance in an office supply store when i was elected to go make a copy. i marked some different surfaces, it rubs off before a test sharpie mark does.

ink seems to go on relatively thickly, but rubs off easier than a sharpie

Some industrial ink, including Marsh, actually has to dry. You may want to let it cure for a day or so and then try to remove it. Of course it'll wipe off if it's still somewhat wet.

sharpie has some industrial markers too, they write on oily and wet surfaces.. i picked a couple up about a week ago, they write really nice. it's still the same felt innards, but the ink mixture is a bit different, the smell isn't as harsh. it comes out a little more solid than usual. i like em pretty well.

DUDE, seriously.. just go hit up somewhere with it.. if it disapears or it's rubbed off.. who gives a shit. about two weeks ago i took my little bro's hulk drawing marker, didnt say permanent, but didnt say WASHABLE either... so i tried it outside, its washable, but i still got a tag up in a nice dry spot...

I use to have an industrail marker like that. I loved it the nib was hard enough to write on concrete and not destroy it. My marker had an orange tube thought and it came in more that balck it also came in like opaque colors. I just cant figure out were to get em though cause the one i had is used in construction and i got from one of my friends dad.
