i dunno if it's called "can killer" but Pink Dot makes about 9 inches wide. It's the german style pink dot.

and i don't know about "can killers" but waaay back in the day we use to get tips off of certain automotive products that we called "power caps". Shit was mad stupid and just wasted paint.

and i would not recommend using the german style fat caps with any american brand. They work very well with Spanish Montana though

i recently got some NY fats n NY thins.

I bombed a little at a chill spot with some light blue and rusto fat black (was usin thin on the rusto and it dodnt work to well) but the ny fat on the blue was nice as shit. I have been paintin with stock caps until now and i prob wont go back. The clean edges of good tips seem to make or break, plus i couldnt flare shit with the stocks well, but the NY fats fuckin ROCK the flares.

I was painting with a fresh orange dot with a can of krylon, and suddently I heard a pop and and the cap suddently was spraying with more pressure than I've ever seen. I could stand two or three feet away from the wall and spray and get a defined line. The flaring possibilities were endless... but the can ran out after about 15 seconds, it was worth it though. Anyone know what the fuck happened?

I just bought a lot of krylon industrial tough coat paint but the paint uses female caps.

Okay so I've tried a few things including the scotch guard caps or a ton of others and none of them fit the cans, I ended up using the tips that came with the can and they work just fine for filling in and even outlining throwups.

don't sleep on the krylon industrial tough coat alluminum that stuff covers extremely well and the tip works like a fat cap except it's a fan tip.

the flat black doesn't come out as fat on all the cans but for some reason a few of them do come out fatter... weird! it doesn't cover as well either but I figure for $1 a can I got my money's worth.

Long before the days of buying caps and euro paint. I loved to fuck around slicing and dicing caps to see what you could make. Most flop ... but on occasion you come up on a gem. I saw a cap that sprayed a star, big ass flares with a shape other than a soft ball.

I may post some of my odd balls and how I made them.

fuck all those montana caps there are way too many and most of them suck...get the original montna brand caps if anything....banana skinnies are good nice crisp thin lines....rusto fats are great for fillin with rusto...ny fat caps are good too but i like rusto caps cuz they work better with rusto and i use rusto cans for fill cuz it gets better coverage...
all this different color fuckin dots are bullshit...banana skinny and rusto or ny fats thats all u need..

^^^ You mean clogging? All you gotta do is after your done flip the can upside down and push the cap to release paint until only air comes out that way your cap wont get clogged with dry paint.

hmmmmmm... is your stuff that detailed that you need a needle cap? Cuz I think gold dots and so do grey dots. also, pressure comes into play as well. euro paints are high, US's are low pressure. needle caps were meant for low pressure cans.

take the caps off the rusto textured paints, and you have a fat cap, its good for fills but will run a can dry pretty quick... i use it for the white basecoat.

Someone mentioned golds spraying after you release, I thought that only happened when you changed it over between cans and it started to block and was something to do with the pressure not being released due to the blockage.

this tag i did was done with an NY fat. i love the ol' gold superfats (from monatana). the spray width is stupidly huge, great for fills and flares, but if you wanna flare with one of em, make sure your tag is HUGE cos other wise you wont be able to make it out the width is so big.

i agree with this kids method, but most of the time u'll find that the cap isnt even clogged to begin with, just the tip might have tooo much paint dried on it- so u can just scratch it off.

thats all i got anyways cause i have to rack all of my shit cause they realy aren't to many writers in my city so i got 6 ny fats, 5rustos, two stocks, and this weird ass fat cap with no dot on it... IDK what to call it i got it off of some brake disc cleaner, umm i got a german outline 2 and a red hooded outline two thingy. but yeah im not too big on all of these caps n shit, i mean they are nice to decorate with like i would make a neckalce with those gold montana fat caps and make a pendant the shape of texas with the silver ones and then get a grill made out of pink and blue dots and some custom made bapes for $50,000 made wit orange dots and those black Belton outlines. thats how you keep it gaangster in the souf!!!!

basically all u need is a fat, and a thin. a fat to do a fill in, and a thin for the outline. i would go with a n.y. fat or a pink dot, but sometimes the dots tend to pop out. so basically just keep it simple, fat and a thin. unless u were gonna peice, then use the other ones for whatever.

it isnt the dot itself that determines the width of the spray. look at the notches in the stems of a fatcap and a skinny cap, and then compare the two.

females are generally chisel caps and the actual dots arent usually dots, more often than not they're rectangular

this has probly been posted before, but on those caps where the dot has a circle type nozzle, but that bump thing around it (chisel caps) you can cut the bump thing off and it makes it spray more like a regular cap.

im starting to think rusto fats might be better for piecing than ny thins, i keep getting gross looking flares on my outlines with ny thins on painters touch, and with rusto fats the line isnt much bigger and it maintains a thick harder line...

I've been having problems with rusto fats on Painter Touch. They're both Rusto, so what gives? Is it me or the cans? it happened to three cans in a row. Would NY fats be better?

No, my problem was "underspray". I would put a Rusto Fat on the Painters Touch and a lot of paint would leak out from under the cap. So I was getting no pressure out of the paint, waisting paint, and leaving a lot of evidence on my hands...
But right after I posted that question i tried out a different Painters Touch can, and it worked like it should. nice big "softball". Maybe it was the cans, or maybe I'm fuckin' it up in the heat of the moment. I'll try some NY Fats next
