they seem to be sitting on some contsruction beams rather high up which leads me to believe they are building a sky scraper or hotel or even an observatory of some sorts the exact location is not know how ever im sure some one here knows where it is.

A zedonk, an unusual cross between a donkey and a zebra, is attracting attention at the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve in Dahlonega after being born there about a week ago. The animal, which has a zebra father and donkey mother, has black stripes prominently displayed on her legs and face.

C.W. Wathen, the preserve's founder and general manager, said the foal has a zebra's instincts. Wathen said she sits up instead of lying on her side, as if she's staying alert for predators.

If you are a soldier and you get your arms/legs/eyes/hands/whatever blown off or crippled or whatever then you aint really gonna be running to the waahmbulance.
They signed up to go out and do the same thing to someone else, so when it happens to them they can't complain, or they should have just got a job down their local KFC.
If their hands got fried off in the KFC fryer, then I would have sympathy.

I dont understand how a photo of this guy hugging his wife (or whatever she is to him) means he is crying about his situation. He in fact is still wearing a uniform which dont mean he is still allowed to serve but could be some sort of honorary thing. And to assume he joined to just kill and maim is a bit much. what if this guy was a medic working on local children teaching them how to brush their teeth and a motor landed and killed some local kids and wounded him? To just assume " fuck him he is a baby killer... he deserved that" is a bit much considering the story of how and what happened was not posted.

A Perseid meteor shoots across the night sky over the European Southern Observatory's Paranal Observatory in Chile, which appears bathed in the reddish glow of the setting moon in a long-exposure picture taken the night of August 13-14.

The annual Perseid meteor shower is best visible in the Northern Hemisphere, because the meteors seem to radiate from the constellation Perseus in the northern sky. But the exceptionally dark nights in Paranal allowed photographer Stéphane Guisard to capture a few bright streaks from the platform of the observatory's Very Large Telescope.
