Joao Silva, the New York Time's principal war photographer, stepped on a mine yesterday, that blew off both his legs. Apparently he kept taking photos through it all. One of two surviving members of the Bang Bang Club, and apparently an extraordinary individual. Hope dude gets better:

Thats bollocks i studied there temporatilly and most of the buildings that had students in had these nets, because they chuck shit out of the windows.

We used to make giant cocks out of card, or tag big bits of plastic signage and chuck it down as it would last for weeks.

Anyone jumping outwards would clear those nets, and ive seen someone pissed jump from one floor above and the nets just ripped off and he broke his ass.
