oh i dont really care. im sure way more people got better pictures of that. there are tons of people at that school. just thought you guys would enjoy.
Ya, i saw the trailer too. What irked me (and the rest of the internet)
It really only upset a few people, who had assumed what you had.
Quote:
was that it shows someone working on the first Enterprise on Earth yet canon story (is that how you use 'canon'?) states it was built in orbit.
Canon of course is what is established on screen... and it was *never* established where the Enterprise was built so there is no violation or any cause of concern in all actuality. The original ship's dedication says "San Francisco, Calif." I think it was mentioned by one of the original writer's in a Star Trek book about the Enterprise being built on Earth and assembled up in Space, and Robert Orci says that there is nothing preclude final assembly in space.
And we don't even know if the ship in the movie is the NCC-1701, do we?
The NCC-1701 is in the movie indeed. This was announced last summer. On top of that J.J. and Co did a Q&A with TrekMovie.com from the Enterprise Bridge set.

Ah, i see. Well if thats true, thats good to know, thanks.
I have set aside three weeks of my forties to do nothing else but watch every episode
Word, thats what i've been doing (minus the forties). I'm on like ep.10 of season 2 atm. I like TNG because it has to do with exploring, discovering new things, "going where no man has gone before". Not like Deep Space Nine that, from what i saw, was none of the above. It was set on a space station, and was like a soap opera, always dealing with political shit.
And WeaponXXX, i would of dug your Enterprise thread had i knew it existed, .
Saw it last night and Weapon X is right, it was fucking awesome! An all around good movie that could stand on its own and had all the feel of the old series. Great casting.
Put something here to put some space between your post and the next one.
This movie is getting such good reviews. Some say it's the beat sci-fi movie ever. I shoulda saved my time and money and skipped wack-ass wolverine for this.
i saw this last night. it was good, definitely entertaining.
the best part about it, was watching in a packed theater. it was a mixed crowd though, so it was kind of like "where's waldo," but instead it was "where's comic book guy."
it was a lot easier than "where's waldo."
Oh --and if you were watching this last night, in union square, in the balcony seats of theater 4, throwing the vulcan sign up like wu signs when spock threw the first "live long and prosper" --YOU'RE A NERD!
"That’s why it irks me to hear the Hip-hop generation glorifying the prison experience with gangster rap and promoting thug-ism, they’re deceiving the people." --STAFF 161
