so connex is on the way out and with this takeover by MTR looming just around the corner (nov 30th) i wonder what this will mean for melbourne.

for those who don't know vic government has had enough of connex and decided to go with the hong kong company MTR and a division of MTR is going to take over connex and call it Metro Trains Melbourne, which i personally like the name of.

I'd say the whole take over thing will be much the same, just anew name and logo. Possibly less delays and such if they really live up to their talk, but all in all i doubt it will be much of a change.
