Pretty sure its from "The History Of American Graffiti" by roger gastman who was a DC writer that compiled second hand stories from like over 500 people all over the nation. It even notes a page about possible inconsistencies and "approximate" year dating and other bullshit. I might post a picture of the page in a little if i remember.

It does, and that quote I posted earlier is from it. Summed, basically, the book says they couldn't do more than get an ice tip view of a massive culture of graffiti, but at the very least, there's a book about something. Though, as much as I love the detroit cats that helped, got dam, that thing was like 2 fucking pages in a 400 page tome. Holy fucking anemic. Detroit graffiti is not on the radar. Not at all.

And this? I spent my time as a toy, with farms, before he was farms. So I pre-date this "second generation group"...and you're leavin' out them small ass turtles all over the place. Them were all over in like 93, 94. That's what inspired me. And taking photos came later, to sorta capture everything before it decayed away.
