When I was in montreal this year Dark Crystal came up on the tv, and it was the only english program I cared to watch.
I saw like 30 minutes of it and my homies frate raper and snot rocket got all irate on that shit.
The pupits are kinda cool from what I saw.
I saw this the other night, Very good, Well worth a look.
For those who dont know, Guy Ritchie is the same director who made both "Lock stock and two smoking barrels" and "Snatch". Both are well among my favourite movies of all time.
Originally posted by deterrent@Aug 28 2005, 11:52 PM I just picked up a DVD from a flea market for $5. It's
called EXECUTIONS. Live footage of Drive-by Shootings,
Iraqi Death Squads, Mutilations, Car Bombings....
The deaths aren't that bad to watch, what's horrible
though is the mutilations. I started shaking when they
were sawing off hands and feet with knives.
I saw this again in the other day, I can't believe I'd forgotten just how goddqamn funny this movie is. I nearly fucking killed myself laughing with the parallel bar dismount.
I'm really fucking impressed. Lots of good movies here.
Highlights:
Tombstone (Which I love like beautiful foreign women.)
Taxi-Driver
La Strada
Battle Royale (Which I saw for the first time high out of my mind in the apartment of a woman I still don't know.)
I'm planning to see now:
Begotten
Wonderland
May I suggest:
The Abyss http://imdb.com/title/tt0096754/
Pi (Quasi-Indie B+W)
Love Me if You Dare (Quite visually pleasing; French/English Subtitles)
The Changeling (Classic Horror set/filmed in Washington, the State.)
... More to come...
