Dawg, while that movie does look and sound badass, Chopper is real person (as was the guy in Blue Murder) that really did kill in the double digits, really was feared and well known in the australian underground, but was at the same time kinda a cool guy. And he is a smaaaaart dude, for having no education only street knowledge. He didn't kill women or children, only "bad" people. Gangsters, drug dealers, pimps, scumbags, shit like that got merked. Even Chopper said he didn't like the film, and that's why his books are a million times more entertaining. But the movie is still fun to watch.
I'm going to have to find Blue Murder though, sounds good.
"For the Allied prisoners of Stalag 17, every escape attempt ends the same way -- in disaster. The cynical Sgt. Sefton (William Holden, in his Oscar-winning role) thinks they're all fools for trying … but soon his hectoring starts to raise suspicions that there's an informant in the prison camp. Director Billy Wilder effortlessly mixes broad comedy and high-tension drama in this World War II classic."
I seriously watch this like once a week. I've even made alternate soundtracks to listen to while watching it (Phillip Glass gets annoying after a while).

all four of those are awesome, good looking on the Seijun Suzuki and Melville. Le Cercle Rouge, too.
a French guy who adopts Herman Melville's name and has a preoccupation with Buddhism... that's what's up.
basically anything he did... Rashomon has been mentioned, and that shit is still fresh. Yojimbo, Sanjuro, Ran, Seven Samurai... it's seriously all very good.
Rainer Werner Fassbinder
a of people don't like Fassbinder... obviously, these people are idiots. but he did make some trash.
