Being offered here, is the actual penciled out Marvel Comics Green Goblin character from the Spider Man series by the graffiti icon SEEN UA.
This character was penciled out by SEEN, and given to Pjay One, so as he could attempt to pull off his annual Halloween Whole Car. October 1980, the yards were hot. Enforcement by the Vandal Squad was at a peak. Writers believed any attempt at a whole car be futile. All but Pjay One that is. Pjay One remained determined, and pestered SEEN for the assistance in the form of the outline. SEEN, still convinced that Pjay One was nuts, playfully questioned Pjay's ability to execute the drawing. SEEN noted this in the RARE personal notations on the outline to Pjay One.
"try it, you'll..like it. But then don't f*#k up. it means you PJ"
Reads one. Below the Green Goblin, SEEN playfully notes:
"just a junk scrap drawing. PJ is good enough to handle it from here,
I hope. Correction he hopes"
On the lower left hand corner of the outline SEEN notes: "Just kidding you could do it. Good Luck".
On top of which, we see the iconic SEEN ONE tag. The rest is graffiti history. As most know, Pjay One took this outline, and went on to use it on October 4th, 1980 in execution of his Satan's Palace whole car. One will find the misted over spray of the various vintage Krylon and Rust-oleum as well as Red Devil spray paint utilized that evening on this outline. These lightly misted remanents, give this outline a great patina. These colors include Sandalwood Tan, Aqua Turquiose, Jungle Green, Hot Pink as well as Federal Safety Purple.
This outline measures in at 11" x 8.5" And will nicely display within any graffiti or pop art collection. As previously stated, this outline is a rare piece in the annals of graffiti history, by a legendary artist, who has exhibited across the globe using a plethora of mediums with a strong following for over thirty years and counting now. Hence, given the above, and the fact that SEEN is currently represented by the Opera Gallery, this piece is bound to rapidly appreciate. Also, one must take into consideration that few of these actual documented outlines ever become available to the public.
Here's your chance to acquire a true piece of graffiti history from graffiti's golden years.
