A wild scene unfolded inside a Brooklyn courtroom today after the confessed madman who admitted to killing four people while on a 28-hour rampage got into a shouting match with the boyfriend of one of his victims and the judge who sentenced him to 200 years to life in prison.
Maksim Gelman flipped out at his sentencing hearing in Brooklyn Supreme Court while Gerard Honig delivered a victim impact statement for his girlfriend Yelena Bulchenko who was killed during the rampage.
"You fell in love with a heroin addict you f--king faggot," Gelman yelled.
"You'll burn in hell for what you did," Gerard Honig replied.
Gelman was briefly ejected from the courtroom, but brought back when he promised he would behave.
Gelman was eventually sentenced to 200 years to life.
"You are a pathological, violent predator. A sociopath," Judge Vincent Del Giudice said.
But Gelman had a parting shot for the judge, telling Del Giudice: "Your honor, you can suck my Russian d--k."
The judge shot back, "Your offer is declined."
Gelman pleaded guilty in November to murder, assault and attempted murder in the February 2011 rampage that spanned two days and began in Brooklyn.
He pleaded guilty on Tuesday to his final crime, slashing a subway passenger in Manhattan.
The rampage began during an argument over using the family car when Gelman stabbed his stepfather to death and took off in his mother’s car. He then drove to Bulchenko's home, where he killed the woman’s mother, then waited hours for the 20-year-old daughter to return and stabbed her 11 times.
Gelman drove away, rear-ended another car and stabbed its driver when he confronted Gelman, police said. The driver survived.
Stealing the injured man’s car, Gelman drove off and slammed into a pedestrian who died from his injuries.
After abandoning the vehicle, Gelman hailed a livery cab and attacked its driver, then approached another car, attacked a man inside and hijacked the car. Both men survived.
