Re: What book are you reading? Part 20 -

I'm reading Promethus Bound. An ancient play, one of the oldest we have. About a simple man who was horrifically punished by the powers that be for the terrible crime of trying to bring light to the common people. In the words of Ascyllius, "No good deed goes unpunished." I cannot tell you how much consolation I find in these slim pages.

I decided to start reading this again last night.
It is one of my favorite books and always reminds me of my mother.
My nephew is named Atticus, so it reminds me of him as well.
"yeah it's nice out. i don't like nice things. thinking about nice things makes me feel sick inside. i only like darkness things. i only like darkness, demons, stuff like that."

Just read this book for the second time:
I have yet to see the movie.
Currently reading this:
And after that might read this:
No homo, the series is good. My math teacher got me into it. I haven't seen the movie for the 1st book though, nor do I want to see it. Ruins the "movie" that I create in my head.

Finally finished this. I do this thing
where I read a couple different books at once
because I take a break in the middle.
I wish I would stop and just read one at a time thoroughly.
But I liked it and then I watched the movie and
did not like that.
This one is kind of tough to sit through.
Even in literature and art, no man who bothers
about originality will ever be original: whereas
if you simply try to tell the truth
(without caring twopence how often it has
been told before) you will, nine times out
of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.
Re-reading this now. a great book, and probably my favorite. kerouac is amazing.
Then im going to re-read this. another great one by kerouac..
And did anyone ever read this??? I was considering it my next read..
Didnt enjoy On the road at all, very rough writing style.
The Electric Cool Aid Acid Test, is one of the most fabulous books ever written...Had totally forgotten it, its excellent im gonna go out and buy it again. All true, must have been some buzz....
