Rest in Piece
John Zimkus
We Love You
Originally posted by dukeofyork: i would dedicate a piece to him, but i dont feel im worthy of it for how short the time is ive been writing...
bump for now..
Do it man, dedicate a peice, do a peice whatever. Everytime Nace is written on something it just shows what an impact he had on the world, the fact that you never met him or whatever just goes to etch that fact in stone. Nace would have loved it to be out benching and see his name roll by no matter who did it...
you know john is benching beside that railroad track in the sky...drop soemthing fresh for him in his memory whether you knew him or not.i just caught some simples behind my house....had to take a moment and just sit with them for a minute...it was like he was sittin right there, the mans work is still so full of energy..truely inspiring.hope we`re makin you proud john, keep benchin up there cause they`re gonna keep coming....
everthing that i wanted to say has been said..he was my fav. by far and i know that he will never be forgotten..and that makes it alittle bit easier to deal with knowing that his presence will always be around.
rip nace
truly the best in my opinion
i just got done reading every post on here. now i can't stop crying. Thanks to all who have posted and cared, I'm sure John can feel the love. I also know his family can feel it. Does anyone have flicks of the NJ highway spots that have been popping up in his memory? please post. thank you all again. in the name of the ones in the accident. thank you.
I never got a chance to meet NACE and i am really sad that i didnt go to scribble jam. i cant understand why, but i felt extremely hurt when i heard he passed. i guess it is a testament to how much someone can influence another without even having met each other. I am pretty sure NACE is in every graff mag i have ever bought and his fr8's were in almost every post in the BENCH. i guess it was difficult knowing that when he passed, the source of all that artwork was gone. no new NACE fr8's in the magazines. no new NACE posts on 12ozprophet. i miss his work already. you are gone but you wont be forgotten.
RIP NACE
much love from socal's GRUNTS crew. still unknown but give us time.
