DONT REALLY KNOW WHY THERE HAS NOT BEEN A THREAD YET ON CHARLIE. so i'll start one. dont know too much about the guy but i know ive seen shit from the late 80's that burned. early pioneer of freights and pure funkateer. classy connections. crisp color schemes, balance and straight letters that still can't be touched. seems that his freights are increasingly rare these days, please post anything that you can find or have in your personal stash................

Freeways killed, mad tags. it wasnt the new "twigs and razors" type shit that everyone attributes to LA now.

Sixteen ,I am deffinatly with u on that one. Charlie is a style legend,who deffinatly influenced me. All his work is so classic. So much dope style's were coming out of LA in the early 90's,Frame,Chaka,Phable,Relm, CBS crew etc..in my opinion it deffinatly tapered off a considerable amount from what i've seen.I was at Kets place recently and had the priviledge of seeing so many amazing Charlie flix,including all the wreck he caught in NYC. Nice to see a post about a truly underated legend.Bump

Charlie, is truly one of the most slept on writers. That guy has to be one of the freshest west coast writers of all time. He had a bunch of alias names, and they were all raw. And mentioned earlier that he is one of the true freight train pioneers, qaulity and quantity! I hope to see more posts of his flicks, hook it uuup.

It's been a long time since I've seen a Charlie DTK... I actually saw the one piece by Char and Jack.... at the Belmont.... Defintely Nice.

By the way I think Seen did the Hollywood sign around 1987? I'm not sure exactly.... I'll look into it...
