Re: RIP Mint PFB YDS -

I used to pal around with Mint (Michael, Mick, Mickey) in the 80's and 90's. I lost contact with him in the noughties then heard he tragically died in 2004. Shame, we were best mates for a while at school.
I remember coming back on the district line when Michael was just starting tagging (mid 80's). He managed to drop all of his pens which were hidden up his sleeve just yards from the British Transport Police. He was a good guy with a strong tendency to be fearless, a little aloof and sometimes moody but with a dry sense of humour. He was an avid supporter of Q.P.R,
What people probably overlooked with him was his degree of high academic intelligence - he was reading serious novels when we were 12! He once confessed to having a photographic memory.
I heard he'd mellowed out in later years. RIP Michael.
