Retna is having a major exhibition and installation in downtown Manhattan this Thursday night.
If you haven’t seen his work, and don’t know his significance in the current landscape of contemporary art,
you simply haven’t been paying attention…

Both unapologetically minimal yet profoundly complex at the same time,
dude continues to create what I consider some of the most beautiful and vibrant letter style based artwork
currently coming out of this generation of post, once and / or current graffiti artists.
Having already paid his dues and earned his props in the trenches of LA well before anyone was writing feature articles or big checks,
it’s also been inspirational watching him rise so completely to the occasion as the spotlight of the art world shines so brightly on him lately too.
Fresh off killing it in Miami at Art Basel, look for no less as he sparks off his “Hallelujah World Tour” here this week.
