I’ve been on the road for a good while, so I haven’t been able to stay on top of blogging as well as I should. Hopefully things start settle a little bit cause i definitely have some exciting new stuff in the works that I’ve been wanting to share. Until then, I figured I’d at least drop a quick post with some random shots taken along the way. Summer’s almost over, so here’s my own little tribute…
Here’s one of the many Bar-B-Q’s we had in Altenhof, Germany which is about an hour or so outside of Berlin. Martin is like the Bar-B-Que aficionado and managed to import this fine specimen of a grill…
Marley (hypediss.com) is a true master when it comes to grilling choice cuts of meats and traditional German sausage.
Beer in Germany is such a basic fact of life that I think it’s thought of in the same sort of context as eating and breathing. In any case, it flows like water at any social gathering…
Maren (nortberlin.com) always the gracious hostess and can cook herbed vegetables that still have me drooling.
Bianca (nike.com) dropped by and then Marok (lodown.com) cruised up in his ski boat. Too bad the water was hardly above freezing.
Most evenings were capped off with cases more worth of beer, enough steak to give anyone a heart attack, and sunsets like this…
Yeah no doubt, I definitely like to travel light with the fam…
First class on the ICE train is well worth the extra bucks they charge. Almost enough to be able to relax away the strain of having been the family pack mule getting us there. Here’s my wife, Christy, making the most of it.
After Germany we made a stop in Miami where my daughter, Ava, got the chance to play in the waves. It’s not the nicest beach in the world, but the water is warm enough to almost feel like bath water and it’s topless which makes for some good entertainment.
My son, August, wasn’t really into the water, but seemed to enjoy eating mouthfuls of sand.
Anyhow, I’d like to give a special thanks to Marley and Maren for making our time in Berlin something we’ll always remember fondly. Also thanks to Martin, Bianca, Steven Vogel, Andre, the Nort Berlin Crew (Chris, Adam and Evan), the programming team at movementberlin.com (Luzifer, Marian and Simon) and everyone else that made us feel at home while we were in Berlin.

Good collection of photos, your kid eating the sand had me rolling. It’s things like this that make saving for a world tour that much easier.
Cheers.
