The good people at Cut & Paste asked me to be one of the judges for the NYC competition this Saturday. I stopped by last year and it’s a fun event for design nerds as well as their cool patient girlfriends and boyfriends. It’s like Photoshop in the Thunderdome! Each round has 2D, 3D, and motion-graphics designers competing in their respective categories to finish a design solution to a given project. If I recall, it’s 20-minute rounds and it’s organized like a tournament with each round knocking out the feeble until the finalists go head-to-head. It’s a fun event and it’s happening at Webster Hall this Saturday, March 21st, starting at 7pm. Towering over the turntables will be Rich Medina (illdelph Footwork represent!) So bring your Pantone color guide to get it signed by the champs!
