Carbon 2013 was the third year that this Melbourne based Festival of contemporary style, design & culture has taken place. 2013 saw the biggest turnout and was by far the most positively received of the Carbon series.
The Carbon line-up of speakers included: Ronnie Fieg, PM Tenore, Woody, Shawn Stussy, Dabs Myla, Mark Drew, Geoff Lillemon, Barry McGee, Andrew Montell, Jeff Hamada, Lawrence Schlossman, Eddie Huang, Martha Cooper, Will Robson-Scott, Henry Chalfant plus participating artists Does and INSA.

Feeling pretty nostalgic over this post as “A Bizarre Ride” was released over twenty years ago ! The Pharcyde to me was the real sound of NYC, embodying the fun, positive and no bullshit hip hop that I was listening on rotation as a teenager. The bright side of this anniversary, and getting old I guess, is that a lot of DJs today are broadcasting gems left and right. Today I present you a ill combo of 12 Pharcyde remixes and rarities never heard before, made by Jimmy Plates from Southern Hospitality, via The World’s Best Ever.
